I sent in a request and a few questions and the resort never responded. They tried answering the questions after i arrived and didnt grant me my request for 2 double beds as they cannot accommodate the request. Bc they over book rooms apparently with families of 4 or more. Reservations are a nightmare, you are lucky if you get even 2 in a week and if you want a specific restaurant its only what they tell you is available, so you might have to choose your last choice. One review mentioned when you walk by the dinners you can see half the restaurant is empty, so you are forced to eat at the buffet bc thats the only option. The buffet food is the worst food. Almost everything is so over cooked and dry. Definitely the worst food ive experienced at any vacation to all inclusives, cruises etc in the last 18 year (No bugs or flys) just not good at all. Entertainment is similar, shows at night. Also almost everything comes with cost. If you are traveling with kids be prepared to pay alot of extras for the mall area. Even Put put, cost if you dont go early enough. They told me about $12 per person after 7. We came back from xel ha 2 nights before we left and the roo. Smelled like sewage and there were a massive amout of small kinda nats on the bed and throughout the room. When i tried getting it resolved it was almost as if the front desk was trying to keep us in there. Maintance could tell me there was some infestation in the air-condition but wasnt sure where the smell came from
