I would give a 5 star rating for this property, I have stayed here in the past with friends.
But this trip I was alone and only there for one night, upon returning home from dinner and drinks, the front entrance was locked by security. I was unable to access my room or my rental car (parking garage was also closed and locked)
I waited, assuming maybe the guard was on a break, but after almost 2 hours of waiting, calling the phone number for reception and banging on the door, (which is dangerous as this was around 2am) I was left having to find other accommodation for myself.
This was incredibly dangerous and stressful for a solo female traveler. The receptionist and manager do not really speak English (which is fine, we are in Mexico) But it was hard to communicate the issues in the morning, I was lucky to have a friend there to translate for me
I was given a refund for my stay, but I cannot stress enough how scary this was and I will never be staying here again despite the great property and pool.
