"Don't stay here everything was dirty every last towel had something on it no toilet paper in room the door had an inch crack between the door and door jam causing the room to be freezing through out the entire night"

"Nice quirky old hotel. Has 3 floors but there are no elevators. Very steep stairs.The room did not have air conditioning (although other rooms apparently do) so thankfully it was cool enough outside to open the windows. They gave us a fan but we didn't use it. One window was missing the screen. The bathroom was passable but the door did not latch so it had to be held closed if we used the bathroom. Also no exhaust fan so taking a shower meant being in a fog afterward until the steam cleared out....

"Our stay at the Captain's Cottage was absolutely magical and the perfect experience for a holiday trip. The cottage itself was incredibly festive and cozy, and we were delighted by how beautifully decorated for the holiday season it was upon our arrival. "Super friendly staff! Cozy B&B feel. Great location, walk to town or train station! LIRR and Pines super convenient. Amazing authentic chef made-to-order breakfast!! (And fresh artisanal continental breakfast included). Awesome and cozy speakeasy-style lounge, with special entertainment nights (check in advance). Perfect for short or longer stays. And great as a gateway to Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove (5 mins to ferry! shuttle-style service avail). Huge clean room. Washer dryer....
