"This true Kentish pub is fabulous, the accommodation is comfortable and clean, the staff are welcoming friendly and helpful. The menu is varied and food is great. A pleasure to visit this historic pub."

"Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive.

"Staff are what makes this place. Friendy, helpfull and efficient"

"The bed was not great. I will not return to this Marston's site. Experience was made worse as was pleased with the Blue Jay."

"The family room was on the 3rd floor with two windows which were in poor condition. Only one was safe to open. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good as was the restaurant where we had dinner one evening. Staff were always very helpful and polite."

"The rooms were fine but service and reception was extremely poor"

"Great breakfast"
