"On arrival was shown to room .The room looked ok until we realised that it had no wardrobe or hanging space the drawers in the chest of drawers were grubby so we ended up living out of suitcases. We were staying for a week.The room needed a deep clean dust everywhere. The breakfast was a joke no cooked breakfast and the so called continental breakfast was a cereal ,grapes blueberries, strawberries they put the same strawberries out for 3 days by day 4 they they were mouldy. "We loved our stayed in this historic property. Some of the rooms were cleaner than others and some areas looked a little run down, for us, this added to the atmosphere but other guests may expect more manicured gardens etc. We were impressed with the quantities of tea, coffee, shower gel etc that were available for our use. The host was very friendly and helpful. Once we had settled in she kept in the background so we really felt that we had the place to ourselves."
