"I booked the room through Expedia, which routed me through VRBO.As the day approached, I realized I hadn't gotten any info from VRBO regarding check-in instructions, etc. Typically, this is very detailed before-hand via email and text. We arrived at a very derelict-looking property about 6pm and there weren't any signs of life. The office was locked. I knocked, but through the glass I could see there was no one inside. "When I checked in, the nice lady at the desk told me my reservation was listed under a different person. I showed her my reservation, my itenary #, all of the info she requested. She told me Expedia did not send the info to them correctly so she would not check me. She did offer me a room with a discount for the bluder but hiked up the price $100 more than the expedia reservation. This is a terrible adminstrative process, she blamed me for not calling their front desk to check if they received...

"This is probably the nicest place in which I have stayed in my thirty or so years of traveling to San Diego. And Rico was a superb host. But I didn’t have to ask him for much, as he provided an abundance of sundries and drinks. Highest recommendation."
