"I wanted a homey , quiet , low key atmosphere that has the basics . The Lodge was that place . It was clean & accessible to all the places I want to visit ; walkable. The extra was the close encounter with the bear by the pool. The bear saw us before we saw him; it was an unexpected surprise. Horrifying at first then it became the highlight of our stay! Now we have a story to tell! "

"The room is nice for a couple, with a little balcony that faces the pool. It's in the lodge among lots of rooms/apartments, with a check-in area in the lobby like a hotel. Staff were kind and helpful. The morning sunlight does fill the room, so if you're trying to sleep in, bring an eye mask (I was glad I happened to have mine.) "Everything was clean and as expected. I wish we had brought a fan to cool the place off more, since there is no A/C, but it still stayed comfortably cool on the lower level where we slept. "

"The property was perfect for a girl’s weekend trip. It was clean, comfortable, and updated. The amenities were useful (Kerig, small fridge, and microwave), and we loved sitting by the fire pit at night. We chose this location because it is close to the Mt. Tallac trailhead (~5 miles) and good paddle boarding beaches (Kiva & Baldwin). It was quiet and relaxing here. We made a great choice and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!"
