Nook Tulum, a condo-hotel in Tulum, Mexico, was advertised as having WiFi in every room. When we arrived we're told that there's no internet in the suite assigned for us, so no TV. The suite details were sent via WhatsApp on our arrival day, not prior as we asked the property representative and got yes as answer. Then we're offered to move to another property which is located so far away from the beach we had to reject it. We agreed to stay at Nook Tulum without Internet and TV, using front desk WiFi if needed. Then we're told the suite owner didn't pay the quota for confo amenities, and this is why no Internet/TV there. We booked Nook Tulum by January 12, 2025, to arrive on February, 28, and this issue wasn't resolved for this period of time? And the property was still out for vacation rent? We just decided not to ruin our vacation and stayed there, closer to the beach. At the end, we came to enjoy many other things than Internet or TV. But, still, how do you rent out the property which carries a debt?? Regarding the cleanness of the suite - the AC filter was dirty, the stale smell inside the suite mainly because of that dirty filter.
At least the representative we communicated with had openly explained there are the issue with this property, but you don't need to find out all this upon your arrival. So, the property was, say, average. Having basic kitchenette there was helpful. And thanks to Rodolfo at this condo-hotel front desk who helped us to finally check-in.
