"The furniture was very outdated and damaged. The fridge had rust all over it. The floor looked unclean. Overall it was just bad."

"The property is very nice and well situated in town. Breakfast was nice and the bar next door was fun. While I understand it is old and maybe difficult to handle certain aspects, the musty smell and apparent mold in the bathroom was unpleasant. However maybe this isn’t the case in the newer rooms."

"If you stay here, you better be prepared because there was nothing in the room except an iron and ironing board - no glasses, no hair dryer, no coffee in room or anywhere on the property. We needed a cup for water and I had to get the front desk to raid the breakfast closet. Otherwise the room was quite nice and had a kitchen. But to use it, you have to bring everything. We didn't take a shower because we didn't want to walk around with wet hair. Nice room for one night."

"The hotel is very well located (walking distance from the main historic street), clean and comfortable (large bathroom and really cozy room). Breakfast was very good in quality and quantitity. Loved the complimentary bike and backpack, which I used everyday and thoroughly enjoyed. They offer cheese and wine in the afternoon and all day service of cookies and lemonade, which is a nice touch. "Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity. "
