"The staff was friendly and helpful. The miniature golf course was fun and unique. Bistro by the greens was excellent and had live music. We rented bikes right at the resort to explore the island. We highly recommend this resort."

"When we arrived I thought I was at the wrong place, it looked like an army barracks. From the pictures I was hoping for a key west vibe.. not so much, opened the door to our 2 bedroom suite in the first floor, facing the pool and immediately hit the bed with the door. The room was extremely small. Leftover food in the mini fridge, toilet had no water to flush, wet left and at least the 2 girls that were there were very nice and the maintenance guy/ desk clerk/ maybe manager did show us...

"Property was clean and well maintained. Staff was great! Breakfast isn't until 8 am. Depending on your schedule, it may not be a problem. We were able to plan our trail time around that and made it work. I would certainly stay here again."

"The Highlands is great! My only suggestion would be to update the lodging inside and outside except for the main lodge. Outdated for sure."
