"Great location! Next to the river. Only issue was it is far away from dinning or shopping areas. But I chose to have it quiet so I'm not trying to complain. Just want people to know if they want more available to those things. Will be back."

"This is perfect for a couple. We did see a bball hoop, horseshoe pit and volleyball net. Wish we knew we would have had some extra fun. There was a firepit but didnt know how to work it which sucked but overall recommend."

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate...

"We had a great time during our visit. There are nearby lakes and trails to enjoy. There were lots of people there, so if you're looking to be away from people this place may not be a good choice. Our neighbors were super friendly, so we didn't mind it to much. The tents are a lot closer than I thought when I booked. We could here everything going on in the tent next to ours. "The lot was amazing! The aspen fall colors were so beautiful and there was alot of wildlife. It was one of the most relaxing getaways we have been on. The owners were so accommodating and were genuinely wonderful people. Having the lodge close was also nice to get a drink or to have dinner or lunch. We will definitely be back next year!!"
