This charming 1920s Mission Beach cottage is one of the original 3 homes built in this area of Mission Beach—and just 25 yards to the calm bay and 1.5 blocks to the ocean surf. It’s your ideal laid-back escape for beach days, surfing, bike rides, paddle boarding, sunbathing and boardwalk strolls.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need in a cozy, beachy footprint:
-A lovely large front porch for grilling, gathering, and sharing meals or memories
-A small living room, kitchen, and dining area designed for simple, comfortable beach living
-Two cozy bedrooms, each with comfy king-size beds
-One full-size bathroom with tub

-Rent bikes nearby to cruise the scenic 5-mile bay loop or the lively ocean boardwalk
-Walk to Belmont Park, the historic Plunge pool, and countless cafes and local eateries
Please Note: This is an authentic, nearly 100-year-old beach cottage—rich in vintage character, with creaky floors, low ceilings, and charming quirks. It’s not a modern hotel, but it’s full of heart, history, and unbeatable access to everything Mission Beach has to offer.

You’ll also have access to one small parking garage and shared laundry facilities located on the side of the house. Parking Notes
We have one single car garage spot for this unit. It's on the left when facing the home. Most mid-sized SUVs and smaller should fit but please verify your car measurements to be sure. Our garage door opening is 94" wide and 180" deep. However, it's common for cars to stick out of the garage about 12-18", leaving the garage door open (so it acts more like a carport). Please plan accordingly.
Please be courteous to neighbors and do not park in alleys, in front of neighbors’ homes, or in red zones (even just for 2 minutes!) — you will be subject to fines and towing by the city.
For alternative parking:
Mission Boulevard has street parking available (please double-check signage for street sweeping days).
You can also find free overnight parking just a few blocks away on El Carmel Street, especially near the Rowing Club area.
Shared Amenities
Shared laundry is located on the side of the house. You’re welcome to use it during your stay, just be courteous of others who may also want to access it.
