"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Beautiful hotel and nicely decorated rooms. At check-in, reception staff called Victoria was not very welcome and did not seem keen on relocating us to another room (the one given to us was on a lower level and the lift was out of order). I was with a 1 year old child, pregnant and had heavy suitcases, however she insisted there's was nothing she could do to help, treated us poorly and did not seem to care. "Stayed here for a couple of nights in April 2026. Lovely large room in the Tower! Had both breakfast and dinner here each day. Food was excellent. Service slow the first evening fo dinner but fine the second evening. Historic hotel with amazing wood carvings. "

"Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."

"Spa was great and staff were lovely but the room was in need of some tlc there was holes in the wall from previous fixings and the shower head was covered in mildew and limescale. The breakfast cost £15 per person and when it arrived to the table it looked nothing like a £15 breakfast which was a disappointing end to the stay unfortunately"

"The house suited our needs, however the lounge was upstairs although on the plans it was on the ground floor and we had elderly parents who couldn’t climb the stairs. We arrived to overflowing bins which smelt very bad and they weren’t sorted until the following morning. The photographs are clearly out of date as the accommodation is tired and is used as a HMO."

"We had a lovely stay, the place was nice, it was close to some lovely walks on the beach and in nature parks. We liked our hot tub but it was just a tad too hot and it wouldn’t cool down with the controls, we even left the top open and it stayed at 40 degrees, we couldn’t stay in for very long. The shower was either boiling or freezing but we still enjoyed and can’t wait to go back some day :)"

"I will start with a positive! Staff friendly and accommodating. That is the only positive I have to say about this hotel. Rooms leave a lot to be desired, very run down and would benefit from a good clean. We moved rooms 3 times before we made the decision to stay - wish I had stuck with my gut and left straight away. Restaurant and bar area needs a good clean just as much as rooms. I can safely say I won’t be back and certainly would not recommend this place. "

"The house is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing. The listing states a hot tub and the photos show that that’s what drew us to book but upon arrival there wasn’t one ! The staff on the phone were rude when they called to complain about our parking, we wasn’t even in at the time. They didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the stay. Would I recommend it no !"
