"Terrible Experience – ADA Violation, Unsanitary Room, and Unauthorized Charges I booked a stay at AmeriCoast Inn through Expedia, and the experience was unacceptable. The room was extremely unsanitary and had a strong foul odor, making it unfit for occupancy. Despite declaring my son service dog and providing ID upon check in the hotel. I was charged $250 as a “pet fee”, the next morning which is a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Then lied they about the stay and...

"What a beautiful property I would definitely stay here again. Jake at check-in was incredibly informative with excellent customer service skills. The granola and fruit were delicious. I loved the common areas, which were warm and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the fireplace was cozy. The ice machine kept running out of ice, but that’s just a little thing that they need to fix. I look forward to visiting this beautiful property again with my family! "

"I had reserved 5 rooms and I was traveling with 5 disabled people and we were all on the 3 floor; which was great until we realized that the elevator was broken and we couldn’t get down to the first floor. "Our room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and all staff interactions were helpful and friendly. The location is good as well. The only negative was that our king room was a little small. But we’re always grateful for a room in Newport. It’s a fun city to visit on Oregon’s beautiful coast. "

"Lovely setting, staff, service and resturants outstanding. This resort does show it's age in regards to the rooms. We had not stayed here before and a little disapointed that we were so far from the pool. Salishan is perfect for family reunions or business conferences, but I really don't recommend for couples visits"
