"I don't believe this hotel truly meets 5-star standards. The staff are friendly, but the overall experience falls short in some basic areas. We had a 7 a.m. checkout, and breakfast doesn't start until 8 a.m. — meaning we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel. We asked for a to-go option, which was not available. This is something every other 5-star property I've stayed at handles as a matter of course. Additionally, no complimentary water was offered in the room — or if it was, no one mentioned...

"Amazing place to stay in Portofino on a budget. So glad I stayed right in town. There’s literally a stairwell directly down into a restaurant in the harbor. I love the morning ocean breeze, and watching the boats come in and out of the harbor all day."

"Check-in was easy and WIFI worked. Just did not sleep well the first nights as there is no AC and no mosquito nets. With these mosquito raid plugs it got much better. Still it is extremly hot underneath the roof so only for people who can handle that as it does not cool down much at night. The sleeping couch upstairs needs a lot of blankets in order to get comfortable. The dishwasher gave electric shocks, power went out when the oven turned on. Just small things, besides that really pretty...

"I loved the Apt easy location for beach time. The location doesn’t have many choices for food and the club restaurants are pricey. But the bus makes it easy to go and grab groceries etc. if you have mobility issues the apartment is up some stairs. The Apt is beautiful and comfortable would stay here again and would love maybe forever:)"
