"The breakfast was very good and the pool was great. The young man behind the front desk had a number of difficulties to deal with including someone's malfunctioning air conditioner and I thought he did a masterful job. Our air conditioner worked. The fan in the bathroom sounded liked an idling lawnmower, however."

"This is a gem amongst all motels and even hotels in the Mackinaw/St. Ignace area. Completely renovated, just like the pictures show it. And dog-friendly! Yes, you can hear occasional noise from adjacent rooms but that’s no difference when staying in a hotel. I will return to this motel anytime if I need an overnight stay in the area."

"The room overlooked a small beach and the water. You could see the Mackinaw Bridge. In the evening they lit several fire pots on the beach and passed out kits to make smores. The room we had was large - 2 queens and a sofa bed. Very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, biscuits/gravy, cereals, juice, yogurt, muffins, etc. The only issue we had was that the sofa bed sank almost through the frame to the floor when...

"An absolutely great hotel and location. Very clean overall, rooms had hooks and space to hang and place clothing and bags. The workout facility was one of the best I've seen in a hotel - a good set of dumbbells, pulley machine, and plenty of cardio equipment. A nice pool and the hot tub was outside, but a smaller. A roof patio to take in the view. A small, but ample bar. The breakfast was very good as well and staff made sure it was stocked and clean - coffee was good as well - even had bagels...

"I cannot say enough about this wonderful property! I don’t usually stay at a “motel” but made an exception and I am so glad we did! A young couple bought this property and are renovating it beautifully! Many thoughtful touches have been added including a fire pit with all the s’mores fixings! "I loved the location and the price was very reasonable for the area. The staff were very helpful and even let me check in a couple hours early. You could smell the freshness when you walked into the room and it was well air conditioned. My only complaints are that we had a tough time keeping the refrigerator door closed and it lacked a freezer. Also there was no microwave so you couldn’t reheat a meal and the bathroom could have used some updating. The tub and shower were clean but seemed a bit...
