"The properties location is ideal for walking to the downtown area where a number of restaurants / shopping are located. Walking distance to Sheplers Ferry vs taking the shuttle. The complimentary breakfast is the usual hotel breakfast. We stayed in the “Ontario” building 3rd floor. The room had a beautiful view of Lake Heron. It was disappointing that we couldn’t enjoy the patio or open the patio door because of the lake flies. The room was very clean. The king size bed mattress was well worn...

"i purchased a lakeview room and it was well worth the extra charge. I had a very nice balcony with table and chairs. the balcony overlooked a golf course and beyond that was a beautiful view of Mackinac Bridge and Lake Michigan. Also watched fireworks that were visible from my balcony that were set off in Mackinac city. room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The shower however had no grab bar or non-slip mats."

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is lake front and easy access providing a shuttle to the ferries which is super close. Also close to the Mackinaw Bridge if you want to go to the city. The property is recently renovated but still clean. Is a bit outdated and the hallways have a musty smell due to the carpet but I felt like it was clean. Breakfast was crowded and often running out. I feel like this could be better if they extended the time to more than a 2...

"Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful for our late night arrival. The room...well...the beach front view and access was amazing but the room needs some help. If you can get "nose blind" quickly, the musty smell isn't too bad. No counter space in the tiny bathroom and not really much table space in the room. And walls are really thin. Just need a budget place to lay your head on your way through...this place does just fine."

"Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside."

"This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! I recommend this super nice motel to everyone!!! 🌟🌟🌟"
