"Took my parents to the UP for the first time and they loved their room! Bed was extremely comfortable, everything was super well cleaned, and the location of the motel is perfect for people wanting to go to Mackinaw Island and come back on the same day. I’ll stay here again in a heart beat."

"This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! "Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside."

If you can get "nose blind" quickly, the musty smell isn't too bad. No counter space in the tiny bathroom and not really much table space in the room. And walls are really thin. Just need a budget place to lay your head on your way through...this place does just fine."

"This hotel is a gem. It is an older facility, but you can tell it has been well maintained. Everything was great- the facility, the property and the staff. The pool and hot tub were very clean and inviting. The breakfast was substantial and we enjoyed walking out on the beach and seeing all the baby geese. We will definitely go back!"

"Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again."
