"Great for a quick one night stop. Staff all friendly"

"Very enjoyable stay at The George. Staff very helpful, breakfast was great, didn't need lunch any of the days we stayed. Room 3 was perfect for a family, two separate rooms with a bathroom in between."

"Beautiful setting, full of character. Wonderfully welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast! The regular menu is also excellent. A nice respite in a busy world!"

"Beautiful location with stunning views. The room was contemporary and well equipped. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the many choices of beers and wine. Ample parking with easy access. My only negative with the room is that the shower cubicle and bathroom could do with some maintenance by way of grouting and sealing, as there was quite a bit of mould in the shower. "The breakfast was superb. It was so nice having a breakfast that was individually cooked and delivered to the table hot. The property is old and the floor in my room was at a slight incline. Not a problem at all but I did describe it as being like the house in the film of The Ladykillers - and that is with total affection as I love that film. Ate in the restaurant on one evening - good food and a good price. Would recommend!"

"Rooms needed upgrading. Smelt of damp and no decent ventilation in shower room which didn’t help. Shower clean but old.Breakfast only served between 8-9 even at weekend. Food good. But they did try to charge for room again when I’d paid in full when booked. They did refund it."

"Room was clean but starting to look a little bit tired. Had a great nights sleep."

"Maravilhoso...."

"The outside lights were very bright shining into the room."

"Hôtel sympathique. Propriétaires très souriant. La chambre donnait sur la terrasse du pub. Beaucoup de bruit donc même si le service s’arrête tôt. Salle de bain pour personne en situation de handicap. Pas de pression pour l’eau. Installation vieillotte."
