"We had an excellent stay at the Waiakea Villas. The room was comfortable and the amenities were excellent. Check-in was by lockbox, but it was easy to use. There is a State Park just around the corner which was a nice place to walk in the mornings. The room does not have central A/C (like many places in Hawaii) but it did have a portable unit. We did not find instructions for how to use the portable unit in the room's guest guide, but eventually figured out that there is an outflow pipe for hot...

It was perfect for me in all ways - fantastic location, nice complex, very clean, lovely lanai, close to a beautiful park for walks/jogs. Various places to eat or get groceries that are within a 10 min walk or a couple of mins drive. "This lower level apartment was so beautifully styled in peach and teal. So many wonderful details, and such a nice space. Lots of windows for air flow and the private deck and gazebo were so serene. The rainforest sounds surround the apartment and make it a special experience. The waterfall and creek are so special. The hosts were so kind and responsive! We appreciated this space and the overall property and location!"

Cooler at night and comfortable. It is peaceful, only had some road noise during the day. The hosts were very nice, good communication. They have a dog but we hardly heard it.
