"Beautiful property and gracious hosts."

"Motel itself is old, outdated but room was clean so it was ok to stay for 1-2 nights. The floor was leaning in a little bit so kind of weird to walk on it, no common area either. It was a convenient location since we came there to hike. Note: you get a code from the owner at 11am or after on your day check in so make sure you will have access to your emails!"

"I don’t even know to describe this stay aside from heaven on earth, at least for us. Rooms are fabulous, the setting is wonderful. It’s still being built, that wasn’t an issue for us at all but could be for others. Come with food as it’s very remote but has a wonderful kitchen, there is a small farm shop if you get stuck."

"A lodge that shows its age but room was clean, the water and cooling worked well, refrigerator and microwave worked well, and beds were super comfortable. Slept great. To the north Salida is about 11 miles. South are a couple other food locations, i.e. Dusty's Roadhouse."

The host did not inform us about the lack of AC until our day of arrival, when it was too late to cancel without penalty or make alternative arrangements. During the day, indoor temperatures were well above 85°F. Because all bedrooms are on the top floors where heat rises, the warmth was trapped upstairs.
