"The parking is at the road edge ' not secure ' but ok. The railway line is close with regular trains, my room was very clean and nice linen, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, cooked full English was ok but it seemed they were trying too hard."

"Good location, we walked into the town centre for an evening meal. Don’t leave breakfast until the last 15 minutes! We had to share a cup, and the coffee and hot water had run out. Great parking, room ok, but cups really need to go through a clean dishwasher."

"I had a room booked for me and I am disabled ,so a while later rang to make sure it was accessible and had to pay extra(disability discrimination?) on arrival was assured it was a “deluxe room” .The bathroom was run down with copious mould ,dust from quite a while built up on skirting boards ,and behind bed heads. Dirty crumpled paper under mattress topper?,milk and drink accessories not topped up daily . Picnic tables 6 ft from room windows so very noisy at night. Dead plants and plastic flower...

"Lovely homely pub and restaurant - and very popular when we visited! Lots of character, open fires and original features make it your ideal, traditional hostlery. Our room was lovely - again, characterful, roomy, and comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean, bed was fine too. Included a small fridge so we could put a punnet of strawbs we'd purchased at a nearby farm shop to keep fresh. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the main area of the pub, sitting on a lovely bay window seat. ...

"Overall very average. I didn’t get the room I booked. No one was around to sort anything out."

"The room was really dated, lots of damaged paintwork, tile edging loose and generally quite run down. The hallway carpet had been repaired with tape. Sadly and we were told unusually the noise from the high street continued after venues had closed at 1am until 330am and so we had little sleep as the street started up with deliveries etc by 7am. The staff assured us this was unusual and apologised but I do think some soundproofing needs to happen in the windows as we could hear everything and at...
