Myrtle Grove Inn Wilmington

This newly renovated house served as a Bed and Breakfast last season. 

We have 5 bedrooms and a huge back yard.

This house is suitable for an outdoor wedding or other small venue events, and has a large grass back yard.

We also have the house next door listed which is a 4 bedroom ranch style house.

There is a 6th bedroom that can be available for an additional price. It is ground floor and has three bunk beds in it. Use the add-on to add this room and increase your capacity by 6 people.

Host did not respond to several messages after booking. Shuttle that was advertised did not work on arrival (looks like it hasn’t run in a long time), which was primary reason for renting this house. Whoever cleans for host did a terrible job. Dirty clothes and hair in bedrooms and under beds. Mold in every vent, dishwasher, and washing machine. Had to buy cleaning supplies due to mold allergies. All handles in kitchen were broken (fridge, microwave) as well as shelves in fridge. Terrible beds/pillows. Towels were dirty on arrival (folded in bed, but looks like had blue/green gum in them). Would not recommend. If we had time to find a new place for my daughter’s wedding, we would have.

Nice, clean and comfortable

The unit was furnished very nicely. It was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay. The check in and check out process was simple and convenient. There is a lot of shopping in the area.

Overall our stay was good and appreciated the large space we had for all the people who stayed with us. The only con was upon arrival, the house didn’t seem like it was recently cleaned with several dead bug on the ground in different parts of the room.

Family Reunion in Wilmington

The property is spectacular. Its right on the main strip, easy to get to restaurants, shopping and the park. At night it is very dark, only wish the address sign on the curb was highlighted to make it easier to find. Size of rooms and bathrooms were excellent. Linens and towels were provided which was helpful. The washer/dryers were great. Only issue, which was very minute, the floors were sandy when we arrived, but we swept them. I assume the prior people went to the beach. Also some of the towels were just in the laundry to be cleaned, we just washed them. Nothing that would hinder me from coming back. Some of our family stopped by for a BBQ and we all fit comfortably for a few hours and it was about 17 of us, only 8 stayed in the house though. Would highly recommend as Mr. Tom was excellent to work with.

Nice Stay!

The property was beautiful and very spacious. The location is great. The front bedroom has several bunk beds in it and not the queen with a sofa so that was a little different than expected but it all worked out! I understand there is a short period of turnover from some people coming and going but the floors were a bit sandy. I stayed in the master bedroom which was super nice but I’m not sure if someone used the comforter outside in the sand or what but the sheets were very sandy. Overall good place to stay just wish there was less sand everywhere!

The weather wasn’t what we had hoped for for our family beach vacation, but the accommodations were great! We spent a lot of time with blankets on the rocking chairs on the front porch! The host was very responsive and more than accommodating!

Great location and house for our whole family

The location was great, central to everything but out of the busyness of the beach and boardwalk. The house accommodated our large family very well! We had 3 families and 4 children. Tom the property manager was also very responsive. We had a great vacation

This Is It

If you are looking for a great property for a family get together this one is it. There are multiple spaces downstairs to hang out together, while the bedroom layout allows for separation and quiet time. The house feels spacious and open. The kitchen area was large enough for multiple people to join in the food preparation, and the grill outside was clean and worked perfectly. The porches and backyard exceeded our expectation, and we spent a significant time enjoying the outside with much needed fresh air. You can't go wrong choosing this property.

Myrtle Grove Inn

We all enjoyed our stay as the house was big enough for different people with different interests. 2 members of the family worked remotely a couple of days and there was necessary wi-fi for them to do that. The Inn was exactly as pictured on the site. We all agreed that we would recommend this place to others.

Easter weekend getaway

The house was fabulous, we liked the fact that we could bring our dogs and how big the house was. The house was also clean and had everything we needed. The only problem that we had was that the house was very close to a busy 4-lane road, and we did not realize this when we booked it. You could hear cars going by all night and we had to be very careful not to let the dogs off of the leash.

Great stay

The Property owner was easy to reach and quickly accommodated our extra day request. The house was nicely laid out. It is not handicap accessible and there is not a full bathroom on the first floor, but we were fine with that. The puppy had a good sized yard to play in. Thank you Tom.

Wonderful birthday weekend!

My daughter is in school at UNCW and her boyfriend turned 21 last week, so our combined families and grandparents met at this house and celebrated with our kids who are in school in Wilmington. This house was perfect for that. We all had a bedroom, and there was plenty of space to be together when we wanted or spread out also. The porch area was just great, and the kitchen was almost like being at home. We ate in multiple times. We did go to the beach one of the days and that was about a 5 minute drive, but was convenient to Carolina Beach's boardwalk. So even while it isn't within walking distance of the beach, it still served our purpose well, and everything was like new. Enjoyed our weekend very much!

EXCEPTIONAL!

First and foremost, Hats off to Tom for accommodating my group. The communication was top notch from the very beginning and everything in the listing was accurate and beyond my expectations. The house is spacious and the rooms accommodated my group more than expected. You always love to get more than you think and this absolutely nailed it. Cannot wait to book this again!

Great Rental!!!

The house was well put together, only about 10 minutes from the beach, and the owner was very responsive when we had any questions or issues. The only issue we had was a wasp nest that was taken care of within 30 minutes of our initial call. The house was able to accommodate all 11 people that stayed.

Awesome Rental

This property was above expectations. The location was convenient and right off the highway. Close to the beach. Very spacious and outstandingly clean. All the rooms were suitable and spacious. Just overall this home was amazing and I highly recommend!

Clean and spacious in a convenient location

This house was a last minute booking for our group. It's surprisingly accommodating for our group of 10. There's plenty of parking and the kids had room to play in the backyard. There's a lot of room to hang out, but it was also nice to get away and retreat to our own rooms. Each room had its own mini fridge and television. Which was super convenient, and the host had plenty of coffee and supplies stocked for us. We grilled on the covered side porch - right by the kitchen, so very convenient and the shade was nice. Just a short drive to downtown for dinner, and a quick hop across the bridge to Carolina Beach. Overall a great place. We'll be back!

Charming Southern Home

My family and friends had an amazing weekend celebrating Memorial Day at the Myrtle Grove Inn! It was a perfect house for the 8 of us to hang, go boating nearby, and enjoy the holiday together. It’s a charming home with plenty of space. The porch is a perfect space for gathering or watching a game of corn hole or grilling out. The manager Tom was very attentive and helpful with all our questions. We will certainly be back to visit soon! The Whitmore Family
