The Chicken Farm
When my youngest was small he told his Pops his name was Farmer John and he farmed chickens down on the Strawberry River. (He was about 4 and had never been to or that we knew of even heard of the Strawberry River.). His Pops called him Farmer John a lot after that and my son still brings it up often. His Pops has since passed so on this trip when we passed the Strawberry River sign it brought up memories, but, after seeing that sign, pulling up to this old style farm house and walking in and seeing all the chicken deco was great for him! He said “welcome to Farmer John’s chicken farm”. The house was great and the neighborhood was perfect. No noise no traffic in and out of the subdivision other than those that belong. We had a very pleasant stay. The host were caring enough to call and check on us during the storms we were having, that was great of them! If we are ever back in the area again we will definitely hope to be lucky enough to stay at the “Chicken Farm’ again!

Like a welcome home hug!
We wanted a place to stay near our destination and thought this cottage would be convenient, but we underestimated how wonderful the lodging would be! The cozy living room was perfect for TV watching, and the kitchen table was a precious meeting place. Friendly neighbors and breathtaking views along with the soft creaking of the solid wood floors made for some precious memories!

Feel at Home in Sunset Cottage
Our stay at this lovely home was wonderful and cozy. A simple, homey place awaits you during your stay in Williamstown. We were 5 minutes down the road from the Ark Encounter, which was our main destination during our stay. We ate in for breakfast and dinner, which worked out just fine. Our two kids enjoyed the bunkbeds and pretended they were “pirate ships” the whole time. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable to sleep and live in. We had regular communication with the owners- very kind people and attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location!
This cozy little house was super close to the ark encounter. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and in good order. The hosts were very responsive to messages as well.

Cozy home!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch, as well as the little things provided for our stay. They had a snack basket, toiletries, bedding, dish soap, garbage bags, towels, wash clothes, coffee filters and so on. We even enjoyed there being only one television in the home. After our days of being out at the Ark and Creation Museum, we enjoyed movies in the evening as a family. The home was located close to everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This property was close to the ARK Encounter. It was fun staying in the home with the older style kitchen. Brought back many memories. The only problems were the dog next door was barking all night our last night there which made it hard to sleep. Also, I slept on the hide-a-bed in the living room. Two of our nights there was a storm that went through at night with lots of lightning. Made it hard to sleep when the blinds don't cover the entire window.

Gray place to stay and close to the Ark
Hosts were excellent! From general communication to recommendations they were quick to respond. House is very well maintained in a quiet neighborhood. Minutes from the Ark and short 40 min ride into Cincinnati (zoo and aquarium). Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Great Location
We had a great stay. The home is very close to the Ark Encounter, and a relatively easy drive to the Creation Museum, Cincinatti, and other desirable destinations. We loved the home.

Access to the Ark
It was very convenient being so close to the entrance of the Ark Encounter. Nice yard for the kids to run around and an enjoyable sleeping experience in a classic older home that’s been well kept. We enjoyed our stay here!

Clean, quiet and quirky. The bed in the master suite was comfortable with lots of supportive pillows. Bathroom a little small with an old fashioned feel. Overall: a charming throwback to visiting Grandma’s house.

The neighborhood was more crowded than I expected but it was quiet. I was however, woken on multiple occasions during the night by trains. The location was great. Very close to the Ark and not very far from the Creation Museum. A nice place to stay if you are visiting both places.

Vintage cozy house
We came to stay at this house as we were visiting the Ark Encounter with our grandkids. We all enjoyed the house, the beds and the bunnies in the back yard. That was so fun! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and eating needs. Great dishwasher. Disappointed that there was no washer and dryer, but the stay was great.

Our Ark Adventure
We were only 3 minutes to the Ark Entrance. Loved the neighbors chicken that came over to visit. Overall, we had a great time with four of our grands.

A great home base during vacation
We had a great stay! We stayed with our 5 young children, they loved the bunk beds and the fun closet. A perfect home base during our visit to the Ark Encounter. Host was very friendly and responsive.

Peace and Comfort with a porch
This sweet and comfortable country home was in a quiet neighborhood. It was a central location for the town, restaurants, the Ark Encounter, the Creation Museum and to Lexington for a Bourbon tour. We would end our day with peace and quiet on that front porch. Very enjoyable stay!

Enjoyable vacation
We came to see Noah's Ark and the Creation Museum; this place is well positioned. Hosts were great. The HVAC needs a bit of work.

Eric, I'm glad you guys enjoyed your stay! FYI if you're referring to the air conditioning squealing I told you about that up front and that I was fixing it soon (you did stay the last week of April). New motor now installed and all is working as it should.

Taking grandsons on spring break
The cottage was very clean and cozy. Although we were busy most of the time there were things to do while at the house. The boys especially liked being able to run around in the yard or shoot baskets in the basketball goal. While the boys were playing, we enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch.

Amazing
We spent a remarkable three nights at Sunset Cottage thanks to our fabulous hosts, Charles and Amy. They were fantastic. This was one of our trip highlights in our entire 6wk tour of the US (from Australia). As it was off season, Charles recommended some great things to do around Williamstown and Dry Ridge aside from the Ark. We loved staying here and experiencing a small town American vibe. Charles and Amy really made our stay so special. They are such beautiful people and very generous of their time. Very thoughtful in what they have provided in the cottage such as bottled water, lots of snacks, coffee, hot choc and iced tea bags which are a novalty to us. We will be back!!! Thank you so much. Good communication, easy process
Charles and Amy were easy to work with and really good with communication. The visit was no-contact which gave an even greater feeling of privacy. For me, it’s so much more enjoyable to return to a homey space and atmosphere than a hotel. This home was super cute and convenient for us.

This house was so much better then staying at a hotel. The kids had plenty of room to play. The house was clean and comfortable. Location was perfect too. The house was minutes away from the ark encounter and good restaurants. I definitely would recommend staying here.

Charming and Comfortable
This cottage is quaint and full of charm. It feels like you're in the country though you're in a neighborhood just 3-4 mins to I-75 and 6-8 mins to The Ark Experience. The fully equipped kitchen (with a complimentary snack basket) is the heart of this home and we especially enjoyed gazing out the full bank of windows at the kitchen sink to watch the chicken pecking along the tree-lined yard - especially at sunset and dawn. The beds are comfortable and we slept great both nights. It was clean and well-stocked with towels and extra blankets for cuddling on the sofas for a movie one of the many channel options. The owners are super easy to communicate with and attentive to any questions or requests you may have. We will be back!

This house was perfect for our 2 night stay. It has a bedroom with 2 bunk beds and another with a king bed. It is an older house but clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Perfect Girlfriend Retreat for Friendship and Fellowship
My friend and I wanted to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter in addition to spending a quiet week away from our busy schedules at home. Charles and Amy's cottage provided us with the perfect, comfy cottage to do just that. Charles was very accommodating when we reached out to him with a few questions. The retro/country decor was so inviting. The location was perfect for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Thank you Charles and Amy.

Dream come true!
Since the Ark was opened, I’ve wanted to visit. This cute country cottage had a dishwasher and was amazingly close to the Ark Encounter! The basketball goal was a great addition for my grandson and the games and books available were beyond expectations, too. Thank you!

Convenient location for activities
We used this as our home base for going to the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and the Cincinnati Zoo. This made our driving time from 3 mins to only 40 minutes... We found the local restaurants good and the neighborhood quiet.

Couldn’t be Happier
This house was great. It accommodated the family. The property is very clean and neighborhood is quiet. Very close to the ARK. I think we could see the ARK from front porch if trees weren’t in the way. Only 30-40 minutes from creation museum as well. The owners are very accommodating and made sure we felt like we were at home away from home. I highly recommend if you like quiet, quaint and convenient. Will stay there again if and when I am back in the area.

A wonderful place to stay!!
This house is super close to the Ark Encounter and only 45 minutes from the creation museum! Charles and Amy keep it very clean and did a wonderful job communicating before & during our stay. We definitely recommend this property to anyone going that way!!

Lovely Farmhouse
Our daughter has appointments at Cincinnati Children's Hospital several times a year. This was our first time trying a rental instead of a hotel & we fell in love with this place. It is in a cute little neighborhood. We enjoyed a short strode one evening. Our daughter made the comment it felt like home. We hope to return!
