"Our room"

"The room in The Caledonian Hotel was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food and service was really good. Our main issue was the rudeness of the Reception staff. Considering this is your first point of contact in the hotel, a smile, and pleasant word of greeting wouldn’t go amiss. Unfortunately both of these were lacking at The Caledonian. The lady behind the reception desk was very blunt and lacking in warmth or hospitality."

"Just Be Prepared. The place will grow on you if you stay for more than one day. There are ZERO instructions. You get a lock box code and a message that says which door the day you arrive. Host is slow to respond to messages. There are 3 towels. We washed our own daily to be sure we had some. There are no instructions for the washer or dryer. "The staff is wonderful the rooms outdated and not very clean."

"Nothing short of exceptional. Very clean and neatly organized. Would definitely come back"

"Charming place to stay - beautifully overlooking the water. Very limited parking and difficult to get into especially if you have to park in the lower lot. We were only given hand soap for the bathroom - no shampoo, body wash or conditioner."

"Bedrooms were over the downstairs activity room and several guests were very loud and noisy untill 23:30. Hard to sleep"

"Our short 2 nights were splendid. The host was able to greet us and give us a lay of the land. Our room was clean and quiet. A perfect stop to be near Skye and all there is to do there! "

"Small but efficient room for an overnight stay. Easy access walking to the supermarket and for coffee etc. Glenn was very kind and we were greeted by a wonderfully fluffy and friendly cat as well!"
