Fall in love with Wellsboro as you walk downtown with the gas lit lanterns on Main Street or enjoy Godā€™s creation as you hike, fish, snowmobile or kayak in beautiful Tioga County. Great for families.
This vacation home is rented throughout the year! We do accept monthly rentals for traveling nurses and Doctors and we are within walking distance of the hospital.
What a beautiful property this is! You won't want to leave! They say it is all about location, location, location. Well this house has just that. The house was built in 1840 and is in the historic part of down town Wellsboro. If only this house could talk and tell us some stories. I was told that at one time this house was a carriage stop and also a post office. Now it is time for you to make some memories here that will last you for years to come.
You can leave your car parked in the driveway and walk down town or bring your outdoor games as the yard across the bridge is huge. Our kitchen is well equipped for dining in. The dining room is bright and has a table that seats 8 for dining, socializing and games in the evening. There is an enclosed back porch to relax in and a large comfortable living room. We offer a master bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom and shower just off the bedroom. There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom, tub and shower. You do need to provide your own sheets and towels.
This is a perfect place for couples to gather and spend a weekend together. It is spacious enough to accommodate 4 couples, cozy enough for just 2, or great for a ladies week end away. This is an old house and has a step up to the dining room and a step down to the kitchen, living room and foyer. There is a deck outback to sit and enjoy the sound of the creek as it trickles by. But please, do not walk or sit on the stone wall. An outdoor fire pit is in the back yard for roasting hotdogs or relaxing in the evening. Wi-Fi and Dish T.V. is set up for those rainy days.
Are you a baseball fanā€¦The Little League World Series in Williamsport is about 45minutes to an hour away.
We ask that you keep things clean during your stay and leave the guest house as you found it. Our cleaning people will do all the final cleaning. Please be respectful and courteous to our property and our neighbors.

Guest house in Wellsboro

We were a group of three retired college friends (with spouses) traveling from different locations across Pennsylvania, looking to spend some quiet time in Wellsboro and on the Pine Creek rail trail. Marleneā€™s house was a perfect choice for our visit, conveniently located on the edge of town, within easy walking distance of downtown Wellsboro, and a short drive to the trailhead for the rail trail. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and generously equipped with everything we needed for setting up housekeeping, reminiscing, and celebrating our friendship. Communication with the host was prompt, clear, and always courteous. We would definitely consider staying there again, should our travels and good fortune ever bring us back this way.

Wonderful place for weekend with friends

My two friends and I had a lovely weekend at this quaint and cozy guest house. It is within a quick and easy walk (even in sub-freezing temperatures) to interesting and fun downtown restaurant, art and shopping venues and an easy drive to hiking at the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The residence itself is very clean and well furnished for cooking and relaxing, and our host was available for questions before and during our trip. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this lovely spot for a weekend away!

Absolutely Amazing

This is truly an absolutely amazing home! We would highly recommend renting this property if you are visiting Wellsboro. It blends classic charm with modern elegance creating a home away from home atmosphere that is both spacious and intimate. The owners were easy to get in touch with and graciously accommodated an extra night stay for us. We highly recommend this home and look forward to staying there again soon!

Charming Home

We really enjoyed our stay on Main St. Marlene was a great host! We were very close to the charming town of Wellsboro. We spent the afternoon exploring the shops ate at the Roost and took in a movie at the Arcadia Theatre. Also, got to hike at the Pa Grand Canyon. The home had everything we needed. The only exception was that you have to bring your own supplies such as towels and sheets.

If youā€™re looking for a cozy, historical, well kept/clean property, The Last Lantern is the place for you! This property is so clean, so comfortable, perfectly matched to the historical feel of the town and local nature with a deck overlooking the creek out back. Well within walking distance to town, if you are up for a short stroll after dinner or want to show up, park your car, and spend your time walking to your destinations. The Last Lantern has a well stocked kitchen, game cabinet and fire wood for the backyard fire pit. Donā€™t let The Last Lantern get away! This is the perfect stay to enjoy all Wellsboro has to offer!

Great location and lovely house

Very charming, well decorated, and spacious house. It was clean, warm (we were there in the fall), inside and outside spaces were both very nice. The kitchen had everything you needed, the beds were comfortable, and there was lots of room. Perfect location. The host was pleasant amd quick to answer any questions. We would definitely return to this house again if in the area. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely home! Itā€™s beautiful inside and out and is just at the end of the main street of Wellsboro. We could walk to the local shops and restaurants. Wellsboro is an adorable little town. The house was very clean and as advertised. We would stay there again.

Great Extended Stay in Wellsboro!

House has a lot of charm, and conveniences. Close to town so you can walk down the beautiful upper Main Street into town. We felt very much at home and the owner, Marlene is very easy to communicate with. She was exceptional in all aspects! Would highly recommend!
