The Space:
La Selva Beach Haven is a charming ranch style home tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, just 150 yards from the Manresa State Beach. You’ll have the ease of spending full days down on the sand, soaking in the ample California sun without a care in the world, knowing your own private sanctuary is just a moment away back at the home. When you’re ready to venture out, downtown Watsonville is 6 miles inland, the perfect spot to find incredible restaurants, shops, and outdoor markets. While there, make sure to check out the Callaghan Park Cultural Center and Watsonville State Wildlife Area for even more sightseeing with a side of education. For more options, funky Santa Cruz is less than a 20-minute drive north, while 30 miles to the south you’ll find tranquil Monterey, both offering a unique and vibrant city scene as well as opportunities for water-themed adventures such as whale-watching and kayaking. The coastal exploration is limitless, as are the panoramic views! When you’re ready to end your day, find your way back to the beach to watch a sunset that is certain to create a lasting memory.

You’ll love starting your day at the home with a fresh cup of coffee in one of two Spanish-style courtyards, enjoying the sights and sounds of a peaceful morning. Indoors, the floor plan seamless connects one room to the next, creating spaces ideal for gathering and entertainment. The comfortable living room is furnished with a plush sofa and loveseat, perfect for relaxing while catching a movie on the included TV. Skylights illuminate the area with abundant natural light, while colorful artwork bring the vibrancy of nature indoors. From here, walk through arched doorways to the dining room where you’ll find a colorful table with seating for 6, as well as sliding door access onto the patio. The chef among you will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, inclusive of all the appliances, cookware, and dining ware needed for whipping up delicious homecooked meals.

This home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests between 3 private bedrooms.

Bedroom #1 includes a queen size bed, patio access, and ensuite bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo.

Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed and patio access.

Bedroom #3 includes a full size bed.

The home also includes an additional full guest bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo.

Nice area, but the house hasn't been cleaned well in a long time. Dust balls, dirty floors and surfaces, and minimal set of dishes. Furthermore, be aware that Vrbo will connect you to a third party agency who will give access to the property. In addition to a Vrbo contract, you will be expected to sign other contracts, upload IDs, etc. Overall disappointed with the rental and check in process.

There is a beautiful distant view of the ocean, which we enjoyed with our morning coffee. The home is decorated with lovely colorful paintings by the owner. We were disappointed that they were ants in the kitchen and bedroom and the kitchen was not clean. It was confusing with him to communicate as there was a "middleman" between VRBO and us. moved in

Property appeared to be older but well maintained. Was listed as a house but I would describe it as a townhouse. Kitchen was well equipped and unit was well supplied. I would have given the check in process 5 stars but two days prior to check in I received a notification that I had to provide additional personal information to a third party over and above what I had already given to Grand Welcome. The reservation had already been confirmed and I thought I was done with the check in procedure. This was a surprise and a little irritating. It would not have been such a big deal if I had received the request earlier or been advised by Grand Welcome it was coming. Otherwise, check in was very smooth. On the positive side, on about the third morning, the shower head in the master bath fell off. I texted Grand Welcome about the problem and they had it fixed the same day. I thought that was impressive. All in all, a nice stay, quiet neighborhood, and an overall good experience.

This property is located in the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge. We really enjoyed our stay. This home is immaculate and the beds are wonderful. My only negatives are a fireplace that we could not use. Also no bar-b-Que or outdoor furniture on the patio near the dining room.
