This is our go to spot in Bath Co. for 2-4 persons. Close to all outdoor activities, National Forest and Warm Springs. Quiet, all the amenities you'll need. Full kitchen, fridge, W/D, wood stove heater, AC, fans, Cable, wifi...Home away from home. See you again next year!

Nice cabin with some unfortunate issues...
We sent the below message to the owners upon our checkout which summarize our feedback: "Hi Linda and John, thank you for sharing the house with us. We just left. The house is lovely, please find below some comments, one of them, unfortunately major: 1) Only one TV remote was in the drawers, without batteries. I found one battery in another drawer, the remote needs two. 2) The kitchen kettle was very dirty inside, full of black stuff. It took several paper towels to clean it. I didn’t find any pot in which I could boil water. 3) Now, this is the major comment. We saw some big carpenter ants inside the house. They made quite a lot of noise at night when sleeping in the upstairs bedroom. The first night their noise was blocked by the outside wind, however, the second night the noise was unbearable. We had to move downstairs late at night. We have an experience with them from our cabin in Europe so unfortunately know the noise very well. Hope you can find a treatment to prevent them from destroying the house."

Great Cabin & Great Hosts
The cabin was the perfect place to spend a week hunting in the nearby National Forest. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hunting was not great, but the cabin provided a great environment to relax at. John and Linda are phenomenal hosts and great people. It was nice to get to know them this past week. Would definitely stay at their cabin again!

Hate to share this secret spot.
Perfect Bath Co. cabin. Bed for 2 in loft, twin bed main floor + pull out. DirecTV and wifi with great hiking (out back), fishing and hunting within minutes. Pound family are great hosts. Will be back!

Cozy Cabin
Love staying at this cozy, comfortable, beautiful cabin. Great location for many activities. Wonderful hosts who genuinely care about your experience. We have stayed here 3 times and will continue to return.

John and his wife were excellent hosts. The cabin is beautiful and well maintained, and the grounds are idyllic. We loved our morning hikes along the creek.

Great little cabin
Great place tucked away on beautiful property. There is a lot of hiking in the area both on the property or a short drive away. Its a short 5 to 10 minute drive to all major amenities in Warm Spring and Hot Springs. Great all around

Idyllic Cabin
What an absolutely perfect spot to spend a weekend. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with our stay. John and Linda were both thoughtful, communicative and gracious hosts at their amazing cabin. The property itself is awesome. Nice hiking trails right outside, close to all the places one would visit in Bath County and just generally serene. The amenities and furnishings in the cabin were all perfect as well, everything exactly as advertised. We are very excited to make another trip out to the mountains and will look first and foremost to stay at John and Linda’s place!

Fantastic weekend away!
Very clean, tidy, and cozy log cabin tucked away in Bath County's rural splendor yet still close to the Route 220 corridor for local attractions and fuel/grocery needs. Nice, easy drive from the major metro areas and plenty of hiking, dining, and other local attractions to keep you busy during your stay.

Great Cabin
Everything went smooth from check in to check out. Cabin had a nice relaxing feel. The wood stove was a nice touch for the cold evening. Close to the warm springs. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay in the area.

Wonderful weekend
Had a great weekend in the cabin with my wife and dog. We hiked the trails on the property one day and Hidden Valley the next and both were nice walks. The cabin has everything you need for a stay and the photos don’t do it justice. It was cold out whilst we were there but the cabin was warm inside and had a wood burning stove to make it even warmer. Thanks John and Linda for a great weekend away!

Perfect weekend

Cozy cabin in the woods!

This cabin was just the right size for 3 adults and a dog. We had a great time hiking both on the property and off. The location is amazing, right in the mountains and surrounded by woods. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Loved it!

Perfect Getaway Reprieve from our Toddler
John and Linda had excellent communication from the beginning (clear and quick replies). Based on our initial message, they gave us recommendations on other venues and activities in the mountains. The maps of trails that they had prepared in the cabin were clrar to understand. The space was delightfully clean, organized, and well furnished (including a coffee maker and wine opener!) with very comfortable beds. Usually when we take a trip, you can be comfortable, but not entirely settled since its only a trip. Here, we immediately felt at ease and at home. Energetically and aesthetically welcoming, clean and crisp mountain/woods air that cleared our sinuses, and delightful wildlife mostly spotted in the morning (deer family and humerous humming birds). This was the perfect getaway as a break to rest and restore our energy before joyfully returning to our two year old. Private, but not isolated should you need assistance or want to venture into town or on other adventures.

quiet weekend in the woods
The only thing that would have made the trip better is if there hadn't been a drought in the area that dried up the stream so I could have dipped my feet in the cool water. The cabin is quaint and clean, and there was plenty of wildlife to see. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the hummingbirds fly up to the feeder.

This rental was the perfect birthday gift get away. The main reason why we picked bath county was to go to the hot springs and I highly recommend to go there. It was amazing to have no cell service and just live in the moment. There is good Wi-Fi at the cabin. The ac works great everything was very clean and had some many items to be able to use, if you didn’t bring everything. From being from a big city it was so beautiful to see the moon and stars at night sitting on the front porch. There is a dollar tree and small grocery store not far from the cabin. But I recommend bring your own food versus going to a restaurant.

Awesome spot!
This cabin was fantastic. So well appointed and absolutely spotless. John and Linda did not disappoint. When we arrived, John greeted us with a smile and a bag of beautiful tomatoes from his garden. We highly recommend this property for so many reasons. Don’t hesitate to visit this quiet spot just outside of Warm springs. Thank you John and Linda for delivering on your description of the cabin. "Almost Heaven"
If I could permanently live in this adorable,well furnished, impeccably clean cabin I would.!! The owners were an absolute pleasure to communicate with prior to our arrival.. we planned a secret surprise for an old friend who is a local resident and who just happened to be friends of theirs (coincidentally). My adult daughter and 7 year old granddaughter just adored the cabin...and are already talking about another trip. My granddaughter and I rode our mountain bikes around the property on a beautifully maintained, wide path that the owner provides. The quiet stillness of the property was just what we needed..yet minutes away from beautiful Hot Springs and all that it offers...and just down the road from the Warm Springs Bath. The rental rate was so reasonable as well. We truly cannot say enough about just how perfect this cabin is. Hoping to see it again very, very soon.

We truly enjoyed having this Lovely Family staying at our cabin. They throughly enjoyed Bath County and what it has to offer. They had long-time friends here and surprised them with a visit that meant a lot to them. They took exceptional good care of our cabin and we're looking forward to seeing them again.

My husband and I and our 2 YO retriever spent 4 nights, returning to this lovely place in a different season than last (3/22). Fab location for outdoor everything, including birding. The porches are the best, and we opened the windows to enjoy the evening whippoorwills. I'd not change a thing about the cabin or our gracious hosts.

A week in the mountains

Fantastic Outdoors Men that throughly enjoyed what Bath and Highland County had to offer. Bath and Highland Counties are known for there great Trout fishing streams and Hunting areas. Our cabin is located within walking distance of these National Forest hunting and fishing properties.

Charming Cabin and Beautiful Property!
Quiet but convenient, this cabin lets you walk direct to national forest trails or quickly arrive to the amenities of Warm and Hot Springs. The surrounding woods and its trails were absolutely lovely and the birding was wonderful. The cabin was extremely comfortable, well stocked and charming. What a treasure!

Fantastic, Restful Weekend
Our stay was Top Shelf from beginning to end. Loved the location, cabin, setting, and owners. The grounds were filled with hiking trails, native plants, songbirds and deer. The bed was super comfy and shower was great, too. Everything we needed was right at hand. Could not have asked for better ambassadors to VA. John and Linda were the best and we cannot wait to stay with them again.

Regan and Phil were Fantastic Guests and were like family to Linda and I. They thoroughly enjoyed the great outdoors and what Bath County had to offer. They took exceptional good care of our cabin, loved the trails, flowers and wildlife. We wish they could have stayed longer and are looking forward to there return.
