"We are local, but needed a place to stay while our house was having some work done. We were so excited to see The Overlook was open, and I'm even more excited that we booked! They're still finishing the property so not all rooms are available, but I can't wait to visit when they're all done! Beautiful rooms, kind and flexible owners - a must-stay if you're in Saugerties! The luxurious bathrooms are a huge bonus!"
"Well, I enjoyed my whole stay. Our room was clean, all linens were clean, the room was perfect. My back was not doing well at all. When I approached the front desk I was huffing and puffing even with my cane. The gentleman that was at the front desk took my info. He was smiley and soft spoken. I asked where to go for dinner. "I loved it and will only stay there when I’m in the area again! I totally dug the old school 50s-60s charm of the decor, nice spacious grounds with benches and seats for relaxing, super friendly and helpful front desk service and my room was spotless.
These throwback motels are vanishing, we need more Red Ranch’s!"

The room was super clean and it was wonderful coming back to a perfectly made bed. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with a call to check on us as we were running late. We did not have a chance to use the pool but it certainly looked inviting!"

"We enjoyed the convenience and walkability. Downtown Woodstock is about a 10 to 15 minute easy walk to shops and eateries. We stayed in the King Suite, a 2nd floor lodging that was clean, spacious and included pretty much all you need for a stay (games, books, kitchenette, toaster oven, pots, pans, hair dryer, mini fridge, plenty of blankets and towels). We had quick responses from the Ipad concierge and website chat for any questions. Thanks for a relaxing stay! "
"Pretty new hotel in excellent condition. I had a studio with a nice kitchen, sitting area, and king sized bed. Nice sized bathroom, with a walk in shower (with excellent water pressure.) Very quiet room.
The area has many shopping centers. My room looked on the back and side of a Target, and I think this added to the quiet at night.
Excellent front desk staff. Very good laundry room with 4 washers and 6 dryers. Each $2.50 in quarters, but front desk staff can give you change.
