"The lady at check out does have a chip on her shoulder. She did give me a room that had a working tv due to the one I was assigned not working. The room was very old and tattered offering the bare minimum. I didn’t spend very much time in the room due to it being depressing. Went out and explored what Ventura had to offer on a Monday, came back and slept for the night, on top of my sleeping bag. Heard the bed bugs were bad. If you want a budget place to sleep near downtown it could be good. But...

"I can only hope other business owners would follow the same practices. I came in with a reservation that didn't start until the next day and they were booked solid, the owner extended himself so much as to give up the room he had for himself, I had just drove 4 hours after working a 12 hour day and he noticed, I was too exhausted to decline such a giving gesture......so I say thank you again for such generosity and will insist to hat anyone who finds themselves in need of lodging to stay at The...
