Pros: Great location. Very clean, nice furnishings (except mattresses).
Cons: Everything is very upscale with the exception of the mattresses in the two master bedrooms. The upstairs mattress I bottomed out on (and I only weight 148 pounds). The downstairs one is slightly better but still shot.
It was a chore to leave the condo because of the door/key/lock situation. In order to leave, you have to first go out the front door (for which you are not provided a key). Then walk to the exterior keypad for the garage. Enter the code and open the garage door. Go back in through the front door and relock the front door with the latch from the inside. Now walk through the condo and go out through the garage. Finally, when you are standing outside the garage door you can hit the keypad button to close the garage door.
There is no button inside the garage to open or close the garage door and there is only (well, there was supposed to be) one garage door remote control. I received an email and was told to look in the bottom drawer in the kitchen for the garage door remote control. It was not there and I searched the entire condo trying to find it. I sent a text, an email and left a voice mail for the owners. I finally heard back later from the owners several hours later that the previous tenant had taken the remote control, and that they knew that. They could have told me that and I wouldn't have looked all over trying to find one. They also stated there was no spare remote control that they would be willing to bring to me.
Also, I had asked for information on the condo such as key code or door key and was finally told a few days before arrival that I would receive the information the day before arrival. The information didn't arrive until after 11 PM the day before arrival so I went to bed not knowing if I'd even get the information before I drove eight hours to arrive in Vancouver
. I have been a vacation rental owner for over five years and a vacation rental user for over forty years. I feel that the owners have a generally great place but don't understand how to communicate with tenants.
