"Fabulous room, comfortable bed, clean. Lovely dinner in the room. I had an issue with the door and the guy in charge came and sorted it straight away. I think an extra lock from the inside would have made me feel more comfortable as a single woman travelling alone."

It is well located in the centre of Beverley, across the road from the stunning architecture of St. Mary’s Church and 10 minutes walk to the magnificent Minster. "For the money was ok. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed comfy and the water hot. Four steps down to the bathroom, which seemed odd. The pub itself is in desperate need of a re-vamp. Very tired. Also, the staircase to the room a bit grim Also noticed cigarette butts on floor outside that were there when we arrived and still there two days later. Although would probably not stay again, I felt safe, and parking fine."

"Check-in was quick. The room was good, if a little tired. It was very spacious, with a desk, large couch and plenty of space for clothes. The bed was large and very comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pub itself is friendly and welcoming. Food wasn't great. I had lasagna. The meat was dry and hard, and some of the pasta sheets were baked rock-hard. I got the impression it was yesterday's food reheated in a microwave. 😒"
