Tidy and great hosts!

We loved staying here and had the absolute best time! Steve was so awesome and friendly and made our whole trip. He had so much knowledge about the area and activities and even let us join in on his fishing one afternoon. Would totally stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thanks Steve!

Cozy Cabin, wonderful hosts
Cozy cute cabins, inside Denali State park and about 90 min to entrance of Denali National. River runs through back of property so your always hearing the rush of water and we sat on bunk house porch and looked at the miuntains. . Hosts Steve and Kelly were super helpful. Would return!

Fishing tips and comfy beds
Steve was a great host! Shared fishing spots and stories. Bathrooms and nice size showers were not in the cabin but just a short walk. Would recommend to any traveler.

Easy access once we found the place. Signage before turning off the highway was non-existant so we missed the turn off at first. However, that seemed to be the situation with a lot of places.

Fantastic
We arrived early and figured we would pull in to turn around when Steve came out to greet us. We got talking and discovered our cabin was ready so we got to check-in early! Everyone was very accommodating and we all had great conversation! 10/10 would recommend staying here and we will hopefully be back!!

Great location between Anchorage and Denali National Park. Beautiful and comfortable cabin, clean bathrooms, easy check-in. And, amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay and that we were well fed before starting our days. Steve & Joel were a delight to talk to!!

We first booked a cabin with bathroom, this was a problem as bathroom was 40-50 ft away in cold and rain. Owner was kind enough to let us change to a 2 bedroom with bath unit for a very minimal upcharge. Steve and Joel were really welcoming and helpful.

Perfect Cozy Cabin
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom and shower rooms were clean. The hosts were fantastic. They had coffee ready each morning. Glad we stayed and would stay again if we are in the area again.

This was a great place to stay. The cabin was so rustic with all of the raw wood. The host were very friendly and informative about the surrounding area. We would stay there again.

Kelli and Steve were super nice hosts, and the cabin was comfortable and fun to stay in. We were able to find the lodge with google maps easily too. Lastly, getting around to Denali National Park and State park were a breeze from this location.

Wonderful location!
We loved getting away from the hustle & bustle of the National Park & being in Denali State Park instead. The nearby trails were fantastic! Kelli & Steve were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our stay. Kelli went above & beyond making us comfortable.

Great stay!
The location was very convenient to the State Park and about 90 minutes from the National Park. Our cabin was wonderful and Steve and Kelli are welcoming and friendly. The cost was very reasonable. The cabin was very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Though we had a dry cabin, the bathroom facilities and shower are easily accessible. The bathroom and shower facilities are very clean and modern. A serve-yourself-breakfast was provided in the morning. Great stay! We highly recommend Steve's and Kelli's place. It was by far the nicest dry cabin of the five we stayed in during our 12-day Alaskan trip.

Trapper Creek comfortable cabin
My husband and daughter and I had the pleasure of staying in this cabin. We enjoyed the outdoorsy decor, the very comfortable beds, the clean restrooms and shower (including the fresh towels!), the location very close to the South View of Denali, the coffee in the morning, and Kelli and Steve were excellent hosts and so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful first visit to Alaska!! We definitely want to come again!

Steve and Kelli have done wonderful things with Byers Creek Lodge. I was taken aback at how comfortable and clean the dry cabin was, complete with mini-fridge and grill! Top notch!

Lots of bugs
Cabin in the woods with lots of bugs inside/on and in the furniture - couldn’t even spend the night there. There were worms in the bed (as in, we pulled the covers back and saw worms between the sheets), spiders on the walls and what looked like small maggot-like insects in the corner. We were expecting a quiet and clean cabin, but the worms between the sheets really did not make it possible for us to stay. We left almost immediately after that and checked into a hotel an hour away.

I don’t even know what to say in response to this review? Are you SURE you are not mixing your stay here with somewhere else you possibly stayed? I have NEVER seen worms??? In or around any of our rentals?!? And maggots?? Seriously?!? We take much much care on providing clean and comfortable rentals! If there was a problem I truely wish you would have come to us and let us know! To read something such as this review is absolutely shocking! I am so sorry if you had a bad experience with our lodging.

The Eagle cabin was just as advertised. The photos are accurate. It was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were also very clean and just a short distance from the cabin. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. My dog was welcome there too. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay with great hosts
This place is so cute and simple. Everything is up front and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We loved that they accepted dogs and had showers available in the main building. The location is very close to the highway and an easy access to many trails to hike nearby. If you had less willing dogs I would point out that it is right off the road so be sure to have proper leashes but our dogs did very well and we enjoyed the property. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and would return.

Great stopping off point to Denali NP
Easy to find, quick access, very friendly host. The cabin was clean, warm and bathroom facilities were nearby. Electricity available for longer than advertised which was much appreciated. Simple continental breakfast available - provided early on the day of our visit to the park. Some good walks nearby and within striking distance of Talkeetna, and 90 minutes to the National Park.

Perfect stay!
Better than listed! Very clean and welcoming. The cabin has a propane heater than keeps the cabin very cozy. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

Super place!
We stayed in the main house. Beautiful equipped kitchen, big bedroom with very comfy beds, huge bathroom, and delicious breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect for fishing, nature walk and relaxation. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant. We really recommend this place!

Property is in a wonderful location. The host was very helpful. The place is very clean. I will recommend their cabins to anyone interested in staying close to Denali which is about 93 miles away.

Wonderful Denali Stay
We had a good visit to Denali and stay at Kelli and Steve's place. Kelli and Steve were wonderful hosts. We had a good breakfast, the beds and apartment were very comfortable. They were kind enough to accommodate a couple of requests we had, They also answered all our questions and gave us tips to visit areas of interest nearby. Even though the property is off the grid, and was run by generators, we had no problem - we had power and hot water when we needed it. Reasonable and excellent place to stay when visiting Denali National park, Tallkeetna, Byers Lake Trails, Denali State Park and other nearby attractions!
