Our stay at the Tallawarra Homestead was wonderful and very memorable. The owners Andre and Janine went out of their way to make our stay an amazing experience. The property inside and outside was immaculate. We will definately go back again and stay longer next time. Myself and my wife Dora highly recommend anyone to go and stay in this beautiful hideaway.

We had a couple of wonderful days in Tallawarra Homestead. Janine and Andrey are the best hosts we could have. They looked after us in every aspects. The room was clean and cozy. We had chocolate, fruits and wine on our arrival. The cooked breakfast was beautiful. The wood fireplace was so nice in the middle of winter. The outside was beautiful with plenty of kangaroos and birds around. The property is so close to city and easy accessible, but so tranquil. We had a great time and surely will be back soon.

Timeless elegance in a relaxing setting on the rolling hills of the southeast. We spent a weekend away here and it lived up to its reputation of being a fine hotel. The views from the premier suite were spectacular. We loved having a calm, very scenic and tranquil atmosphere in which to wind down from the busy urban life. The suite was ample size, the bed super comfy with luxe linens, the bathroom had nice fixtures, lux towels and top of the line toiletries. We had breakfasts and homemade scones for afternoon tea and selection and quality was very much appreciated. Looking so forward to going back, it is the perfect weekend getaway. Tallawarra hosts were excellent - Andrey and Janine made us feel so warm and everything go smoothly when we arrived and departed. Their hospitality was one of best parts of staying at the Tallawarra, very thoughtful and caring to insure that we were enjoying our stay.

It was a relaxing stay and the house was clean and comfortable. It was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were wonderful and the service was great. They took their time to explain everything to us and we ended up having some great conversations with them. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea just sitting and looking at the nice scenery that is all around.

We had a really wonderful stay at Tallawara Homestead. Andrey & Janine were both very conscientious and gracious hosts who looked after us during our stay and made sure it was as comfortable as possible. The rooms and the properties were in immaculate condition, and the bed was so good we found it very difficult to get up in the mornings! Andrey Janine serve you fresh breakfast every morning which consists of your standard cooked breakfast and/or continental breakfast which they let you customise to your preferences every morning. If you’re around for afternoon tea they also serve up some absolutely delicious home made scones with cream and raspberry jam that we just couldn’t get enough of! Tonimbuk is a little known area but there were plenty of great sights to explore that we absolutely loved. Yarragon has a really nice retail precinct with a beautiful art gallery as well. At Noojee, you can take some great photos at the Old Trestle Bridge and then have a nice romantic walk through the forests there. There are also some great wining & dining options in the surrounding towns such as Cannibal Creek Vineyard in Tynong, Garfield Hotel in Garfield and Middels in Drouin. All in all it was a wonderful stay, very relaxing and serene and exactly what we needed to escape our stressful work lives for a few days!

We stumbled across this property and after reading the reviews which are all very complimentary we decided to give it a go. Andrey & Janine are wonderful hosts their sole purpose is your comfort and rest and relaxation without being too intrusive. We really enjoyed our evening and we’re sorry to have to leave. The special touches like afternoon tea, chocolates, fruit and port set this venue aside from others. Janines scones were outstanding with home made jam and cream. Breakfast was another standout, the food was fresh and very well prepared and presented. We were lucky enough to have a host of kangaroos go about their business fir our personal viewing before we headed to bed in the most comfy bed I’ve slept in, I was reluctant to get out the next morning. Do yourself a favour and take a break at Tallawarra you’ll be pleased you did. Thanks again for having us Janine & Andrey

Our stay at Tallawarra Homestead was perfect in every way. The Homestead facilities were stunning, the food absolutely delicious and the owners so friendly and professional. We would certainly give our stay 10 out of 10 and recommend anyone who would just love a relaxing getaway, to book.

If you want to go somewhere to recharge in peaceful surroundings this is the place to go. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The place is beautiful decorated and the rooms are awesome

Five Star Luxury in Beautiful Countryside

Tallawarra is simply gorgeous. In all our travels, I don't think we have been welcomed as warmly and beautifully as by hosts Janine and Andrey; they go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and ensure a relaxing weekend. The house itself is stunning - furnished beautifully and thoughtfully, immaculately clean and providing every comfort. There are so many lovely little extras - multiple towels and pillows, complimentary fruit bowl, chocolates, water, tea and coffee in the bedroom, an amazing continental AND cooked breakfast (including homemade granola and local eggs!), plunger coffee, and even port! We arrived too late for the complimentary afternoon tea, and so Janine kindly made us up a delicious and generous cheese platter to have with our port. It was a freezing weekend but we were snug and warm in the cosy, heated homestead. We'd like to come back with a group of friends and stay longer... it was just so lovely.

Beautiful quiet place to stay

Beautiful quiet place to stay. Owners were loverly. On arrival we provided with iced lemon water & home made scones, jam & cream for afternoon tea. There was no fridge in the room but one available centrally with water, milk & fruit. The room was clean, quiet, beds comfortable, tea & coffee making facilities and fruit, chocolates & water. Great selection to choose for breakfast.
