SUMMARY

Resort-style studio efficiency at Little Harbor Resort in Ruskin with a private balcony overlooking Tampa Bay w/ views of the sunset and St. Pete. It's a heavenly hideaway spot for your winter escape, a weekend getaway or just mixing a little pleasure into your business trip. Why stay at a boring business hotel when you can come home each day and have dinner and drinks at a restaurant/bar on the beach w/ live music every night. The beach is just steps away, across the street.

THE SPACE

Unit 406 is a second floor unit with a private balcony facing the bay, a full bath, efficiency kitchen, large refrigerator, microwave, HDTV cable TV, Wifi, dinning table, and coffee maker. This unit has a Queen bed and a futon-sofa that can accommodate up to 3-4 adults. Common non-aggressive house pets are welcome. No exotic animals.

Remember this is privately managed unit and you should contact us directly for any problems. We are not a hotel business and do not provide routine cleaning. Please reuse the towels and wash them with your laundry as needed. Many of our guests are 5-star rated and we take pride in having more than 80% 5-star ratings from our guests. We are responsive and will do our best to take care of any problems to ensure your stay is comfortable. Please be courteous and take care of our place as you would your own. If you use the dishes, please wash them.

NO SMOKING INSIDE. YOU WILL BE CHARGED A CLEANING FEE OF $150 IF YOU SMOKE INSIDE THE UNIT.

Little Harbor community boasts a private beach, a fishing pier, fitness center, laundry room, 5 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, water sports rentals on the beach, free beach chairs/umbrellas to use on a first come basis, 2 waterfront restaurants, a tiki bar with live music nightly, and of course its 2 marinas with deep-water access, available slips, high-and-dry storage, bait and tackle shop, fuel stop, and fishing charters with an easy course to Tampa Bay or the Gulf of Mexico. You can make this your relaxing home-base while you explore The Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Sarasota.

You'll feel safe at this gated community. You'll meet people from all over the country who are staying at their vacation homes, escaping the winter, weekenders and business travelers looking for some relaxation and fun. The people are generally very friendly and easy-going.

There are no public transportations. Most people use their own vehicles or rentals. Uber is available and inexpensive if you don't have a vehicle.

Excellent location. Very clean with a great view of the sunset from the balcony. Walking distance from two restaurants! I will definitely be back when coming to the area.

Piss in toilet

Worst experience at VRBO ever. Baited and switched us. Did not get the prooerty we rentrd. Piss in toilet from someone else. Pee stained bed. Filthy.second unit same owner just as bad. Run around from VRBO supprt, over 3 hours at MIDNIGHT. No help or resolution. Kept disconnecting my call. Told me piss from someone else was not a reason to cancel reservations and give me a refund. Left the property to stay in a beautifully clean Holiday Inn Express. Will NEVER stay there again, and I have serious reservations about ever booking VRBO because your response was more about protecting the lying owner, than giving us a new non filthy unit.

Room was filthy, mattress was old and worn out, microwave had food splatter, TV did not work, property felt like we were walking into section 8 housing, AC could not be adjusted, site manager would not send someone to clean until 11 the next day. WE DID NOT STAY. WE LEFT.

We loved the Little Harbor area. Our unit was alright, but the floor hadn't been cleaned, which we ended up doing. The property manager was friendly and communicated things in a timely manner.

1 week stay.

I truly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it. Itā€™s peaceful and you donā€™t hear any other guest. The beach wasnā€™t crowded or the pool. The only thing missing is a convenience store. Although they are not far away.

Booking was cancelled without notice

A book this day the night before we were leaving. I had everything packed and all the preparations were made for our weekend trip. It was supposed to be a romantic getaway for my partner and I. Which we desperately needed. Unfortunately, to my surprise when I awoke the next morning to find our trip had been canceled without an explanation. I can't tell you how disappointed I was and how difficult it was for me to find something else on such short notice. As I began to search for new location, I saw the same host had more listings at that hotel. I was wary of even trying to book something else with her. We were very disappointed to say the least.

Property from the outside very clean and resort - like . However the unit we stayed in had worn furniture, holes in the slipcovers on the couch, the inside should be redecorated from top to bottom. I will not go back. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful.

The bed was SO comfortable!! The view was spectacular. The room smelled very strongly of cleaner when we came in, which didn't bother me, but did my husband. Our building lost power our first night (6/17/21) and while it came back on almost immediately, it took out the wifi. Took two days for the cable TV to work and the WiFi NEVER came back. I texted the "manager" several times, and while I got a reply almost immediately, it was never solved. I also informed the manager that my husband killed a roach our first night. Manager said the palmetto bugs normally stay outside unless it's very rainy or extremely high temps. Which is all well and good, except it wasn't a palmetto bug. It was a roach. Manager said he'd have housekeeping come spray. Well, I killed two baby roaches that night and found a big roach IN MY BAG my the day we left and I was packing. I messaged him, yet again and told him he might want to get a professional exterminator and sent a picture of the roach that was in my bag, and NEVER heard back, presumably because we'd already checked out. The wifi normally wouldn't be a big deal, but service reception isn't that great there. Oh... And there's only 2 pools that you have access to. Not the 3 that is advertised. Overall, we enjoyed our trip, but weren't impressed at all with the room, other than the comfort of the bed.

Communication seems fine. I was able to get the shower drain fixed but the fact i did have to shower in a puddle of my own filth shows a lack of care and attention to detail. There were many noticeable filthy areas and half done jobs that could be considered a code violation. The most obviouse and potentially dangerouse problem I experienced was the electric receptacles on the kitchen counter near the sink pull out of the wall when trying to unplug something. This exposes the wires and pulls on the connections which will cause injury, death or fire. There is an obviouse lack of care and or experience with management.

We would stay here again. Property was nice and unit 406 met our expectations. Everything was within walking distance such as restaurants, beach area, and playground. Only thing the area was missing was a store to buy forgotten items, beach/fishing stuff but we found what we needed in a short drive. We considered adding an extra night but laundry facilities were closed due to Covid. Would have been nice to be able to use personal discretion on using it and we would have extended our stay. We didnā€™t book through property so really didnā€™t have a need to interact with staff but we did meet the manager during our visit and he was very friendly. Very family friendly environment.

The property and room was as described. I was pleased with the ease of check in and communication from the host, Quinn. He checked on us shortly after arrival and throughout our stay. 2 pools, hot tub, fitness center and 2 restaurants were within a couple minute walk. The food and drinks at the Sunset Tiki Grill was very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again.

Pet friendly- no mention of extra charge for animal but after paid in full asked for more money. Front door stuck so bad I hurt my back trying to open it. Toilet rocked every time you sat on it. Roaches in bathroom and kitchen. Glad I didnā€™t see them until morning of check out! Bags of garbage in hallway for over 24 hours. Second day garbage on landing outside front door for another full day. Hair dryer didnā€™t work. Bed so soft hurt my back again. Total bummer! I donā€™t recommend this unit. Maybe other units were better

nice little place.

Nice little place, it gets very crowded at night. The room, bed was very uncomfortable, pillows kept sliding down. No stove. Also, internet connection was very bad!!!! It would not get connected to wifi or even my internet was not connecting. I had to go outside to get connected. Nice balcony view.
