"This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable."

"This B&B is in such a perfect location! Easily walkable to all the things we wanted to do. Staff was immediately attentive and there for your every need. Rooms were wel appointed but a bit on the small side. Living room and front porch were wonderful places to relax and take in the sights or just chill on the porch swing. Breakfast choices were all delicious and graciously served. Only drawback was parking was pretty pricey for the small lot. Definitely reccommend!"

"We had such a great experience at this stay. From how communicative the host is to feasibility of check in/out, the stay was stress free and accommodating. The host provided concise instructions, great hospitality and timely responses to questions which made this trip that more enjoyable. "I came here for a show at Howard theater, which was super convenient. The area is super fun with so many bars as the perfect place. Tons of nightlife easy to get to u St. Metro is just a block walk. Window AC was below average in sweltering heat and not the best. Nice seating and tables, just small. When there was an issue, owner was on top of it. Overall positive stay. 2 BR cheaper than 2 hotel rooms. "

"It was nice to have a clean, modern place to stay that is walking distance to Brookland, where my daughter lives. Hotels are not close to her so this was an excellent alternative. "The host was marvelous. She had the site set up nicely. It was clean. She had plenty of towels and wash clothes. Very well done A few complaints, some of the neighborhood residents were asking for money. That was annoying. The parking was difficult on some days. I expressed all of this to the host, and she said they are working on improvements."
