"The Cottar is filled with so many treasures. From the rustic decor to the breathtaking view. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Our host was lovely. He gave us great ideas for travel to see the sights that are off the beaten path."

"We only stayed for 3 nights but enjoyed our time. We easily commuted to Skye each day for wonderful hiking, returning to a cozy home by the water. Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. Before we returned from hiking she had dispatched her local contact to fix the issue. We loved the efforts Anna took to maintain the original feel of the home, while updating where necessary - best shower!!!...

"We enjoyed our stay in Portree. The apartment was comfortable and cozy and larger than I thought it would be. The apartment is in the perfect location as a home base for seeing Skye and walking to restaurants in town after long days of site seeing. We felt right at home."

"Cute house in a centrally located neighborhood, within walking distance to groceries and downtown Portree. House was well stocked with kitchen essentials and was comfortable for our family. One bedroom could stand a new mattress as our kids could feel some springs. Also some blackout curtains would be great in the Spring/Summer months as it is light most of the day and night. But other than it was cute and nice and we’d recommend it to others."

"Nice big house for a very comfortable stay. Plenty of rooms and comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen as well. Views around the property are very scenic and help one immensely to unwind. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and a great experience. We will surely prefer this property again in future and recommend it anyone with a large enough group."

"We were looking for a rental house in the Isle of Skye area and found choices to be limited. While this place wasn't awful, we would try to find something else if we ever return to this area. "We have stayed in An Gearasdan on a number of occasions and have been visiting Glenelg for over 24 years. The property is lovely, very well set out and perfect for groups and a couple of dogs. The view down the sound is spectacular and the locals are lovely. We cannot fault the house or location and hope to return for many more years."

"Location is excellent and the house fit the 6 of us comfortably. Pictures make it look much larger than reality but space sufficient. Two improvements would be helpful - we had 6 people and number of glasses and basic dishes were exact at six or a little less in some categories, which was inconvenient.
