Property was nice and roomy. It was very clean. I would suggest more towels with a stay. We were there 3 nights and only received 1 towel and 1 washcloth each, so we had to wash them daily. Parking is super tight as well. The location was good and in walking distance to everything.

The apartment was beautifully decorated and updated! Very spacious and open. Enjoyed being close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants. Parking was alittle tight. (glad we brought our smaller vehicle) and the noise from dwnstairs was really loud. Tk goodness they closed at 8pm and were out by 9pm. King size bed wld hv worked nicely in the large bdrm. but all in all it was a great stay! The weather was fantastic and look forward to coming back..John & Mary H from Pinehurst

Daddy’s Girl is one of the nicest, coziest and well appointed spots we have stayed in Southport. Plenty of space and has almost everything you could need. I recommend bringing your own towels, and bring ice. There is no ice maker or ice cube trays. There are some spices for cooking but no salt and pepper. The home is immaculate and has the best deck to sit on for morning coffee or reading. Parking is very tight behind the building. You have to drive in off Leonard Street but you have to back your car all the way out to get out when you leave. If you have a huge pickup or SUV, it’s difficult. But you could always park on Leanord or on Howe and walk around the back to get in. I would definitely stay here again. Very cozy, clean and affordable.

We’ve stayed at a unit in the same building…best location. This is the first time I have ever had to make my bed upon arriving. Linens and towels in plastic sealed bags were place on the bed for do it yourself. If staying here please know you are right above a restaurant….now they close at 8pm and then clean for a few hrs. If you are early to bed this is not the best place for you. The condo is spacious, decorated beautifully and the outdoor patio/deck is perfect!!

Fantastic property. Very clean and well appointed. Close to everything we wanted to see and do! Parking is very tight, but we were the only car so that helped! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay close to downtown Southport. Oak Island is just a short drive!

This is our 2nd stay at Daddy’s Girl and we will be back. Big and comfortable living space and a nice covered porch. We love being able to walk right into Loco Joe’s for a delicious dinner.

Daddy's girl was the PERFECT vacation for our babymoon! We were so pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of this place. The apartment had everything we needed and created a truly relaxing atmosphere. We fell in love with the location especially. Only a 15 minute walk to waterfront restaurants and plenty of things even closer than that! The best part of all was the friendliness and promptness of the staff of Better Beach Rentals. We will definitely be coming back!

Great location to get to Lower Yacht Basin and very short drive to Oak Island beaches. The unit was very well kept and spacious. We especially like the outside covered deck. We would certainly recommend it to others. Thanks!

Great spot for our short trip to Southport. Very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the balcony for morning coffee. The bar below closed early enough that any noise did not disturb us. Good value, and we would stay here again.

I truly enjoyed my stay in Southport, and mostly because this was an ideal place to stay in this wonderful community. The apartment was immaculately clean, is exceptionally spacious for a 1 bedroom, and is convenient to everything in town. The kitchen is well stocked with every tool and appliance imaginable for preparing meals at home. The covered porch is absolutely lovely for enjoying morning coffee, evening relaxation, or for waiting out a passing rainstorm. Having easily accessible, designated parking was also appreciated. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone. My reason for a 4 star rating is that as a single female traveler, I was a bit uncomfortable with the security. The main access to the apartment entrance is shared with the back/kitchen door of the restaurant below. There is only 1 lock on the apartment door, the one accessed by the entry code. Every single time someone exits the restaurant kitchen door, it sounds like someone is opening the apartment door. They weren't, but i found myself checking every time. There was no peephole and no second lock only accessible to those inside the apartment. I'm a teacher so I'm well versed in barricading doors, but as a single female traveler, I would have appreciated feeling like I had more control over my own safety.

My husband and I were making an unplanned stop in Southport for 2 days and found this fabulous one bedroom place. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed in a downtown location, walking distance to all downtown shops and restaurants was fantastic. So comfortable, and clean. Great porch overlooking the street. Golf cart rental right next door which was so fun to do for a few hours to really see all the historic sites of Southport. I would highly recommend for a nice getaway. We had some concern about it being over a small shopping area/restaurant, but the noise was very minimal, did to bother us at all. It all shuts down by 8pm regardless. Great find !!
