This property is ideally located for visitors wanting easy access to the various amenities offered at the large Fairmont Hotel (shops, spa, entertainment, restaurants, diving, jet skiing), along with close proximity to Horseshoe Bay Beach and several nearby golf courses. It is a handsome home in beautifully manicured gardens, with a separate, private, single story wing containing 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchenettes, 2 patios and a lounge/living room. Access to the apartment is through locked front doors that open into a lobby-livingroom area. The Hibiscus bedroom can be outfitted with a sturdy, comfortable single bed to accommodate an additional guest, at a minimal cost per night. Wireless Internet access is set up throughout the Inn. There is a large screen television in the lounge, in addition to TVs in each bedroom.
Upon entering the property you can see Jews Bay and Riddells Bay.
There is also a charging station on the property for the rented electric "Current/Twizy" cars.

The Pineapple Bedroom has a queen size bed, armoire, chair, night tables, alarm clock, standing mirror, phone, iron, ironing board and a large clothes closet. There is a large flat screen smart TV and Wi-Fi is available. The bathroom has a basin, toilet and shower stall. Each suite also has its own kitchenette: a table and two chairs, stove top, fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, utensils, cutlery, crockery, cookware etc.
From the bedroom you can enter onto a very large, open porch which has welcoming steps leading into the pretty gardens, with views up to the Fairmont Southampton Hotel. The gardens and lawns are quite spacious by Bermuda standard at approx ½ acre, with several mature fruit trees (oranges, bananas, limes, grapefruits, mangoes) and flowers (Bermuda Garden Roses (many), bougainvillea, snow on the mountain, yellow bell, hibiscus, etc).

The Hibiscus Bedroom contains two Twin beds which can also come together as a king sized bed, two night tables, wall mounted flat screen smart television, wifi, alarm clock, armoire, chair, long mirror, iron, ironing board, phone and a large clothes closet. The kitchenette for this suite has the same appliances as noted above for the Pineapple bedroom. This suite can be entered either privately from an external patio or from the common lounge. From the Hibiscus bedroom you can step onto a large open porch overlooking a flower garden, with glimpses of Riddells Bay.

Both bedrooms and the lounge are fully air-conditioned/heated. Each bedroom has a private telephone service (long distance calls will require a calling card). A Roll away bed at an additional minimal cost per night, can be made available for a 5th guest.
There is an iron and ironing board in the clothes closet of each unit. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom.
In the kitchenette of each suite is a coffee maker, toaster, kettle, microwave, stove top (2), fridge. Extra freezer space can be accommodated. There is a Barbecue available for use. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and linen changed once per week. Trash is taken out regularly. Additional towels are left in the room.
When guests arrive, the lovely homeowner will be at the Inn to meet them.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
The Inn is located a few steps away from the fabled Waterlot Inn Restaurant and Dock. Guests also have very easy walking access to The Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the extensive MarketPlace Grocery store & liquor section, along with a variety of restaurants in the area including Henry VIII, Island Cuisine, Mr. Chicken, The Wok, and The Dining Room. There are also several restaurants within the Fairmont Hotel and The Reefs Hotel.

Restaurants: At the Fairmont Southampton Hotel – Jasmine Lounge, Newport Gastro Pub, Oceans Club, Waterlot Steak House, Boundary, Windows on the Sound. The Fairmont Southampton is closed for renovations throughout 2020/2021.

Closest Grocery Store: The MarketPlace (approximately 12 minute walk)

The inexpensive, timely and clean public buses run right outside the entrance, with 4 bus stops taking you directly to the western end of the island ( The Royal Naval Dockyard) or to the city of Hamilton. Bus tokens may be purchased on site.

For those who love walking there is also the nearby “railway walking trail”, where you can walk for miles admiring the beautiful island scenery without the intrusion of motor vehicles.

Horseshoe Bay Beach, the 8th most beautiful beach in the world, and the surrounding sand dunes and coves can be accessed by foot (approx 15 mins) or by taking the free Fairmont Hotel shuttle bus (10 mins) . Other options are by taxi or rented scooter.

South Shore Beaches nearby include Horseshoe Bay, Church Bay (snorkeling), Warwick Long Bay, etc. with jet ski rentals at The Waterlot.

Horseback riding, bowling, plant nursery, Railway Trail, churches, Golf Courses including Southampton Princess, Port Royal, and Belmont Hills are all within this area.
Private metered taxi service to and from the airport is also available: the driver is available for guided tours as well, at the government taxi rate.

I would definitely visit again!!
Mrs. Wade was a very nice host. She was there to greet us and checked in periodically to be sure we were ok. The home was lovely - really nice and clean. Well equipped with everything we needed including beach accessories and towels which I found to be a nice plus. Our family fit comfortably in both suites which was nicely segregated in the event you only wanted one of the units . We will definitely plan to visit again.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed renting from Jean-Marie and Russell. They are a lovely couple who made us feel welcome from the time we booked. They answered multiple questions about the area, helped with taxis, and gave helpful recommendations. Jean-Marie even picked up our grocery order and had it waiting for us when we arrived. We rented both the Hibiscus and Pineapple suite with our adult children and it was a great layout for two groups or a family. With the Fairmont being closed, the walk to Horseshoe Bay was a long 20 min walk for us so we mainly took taxis. Bermuda is a beautiful place to visit and kept us completely entertained for over a week. We can't wait to come back!

Serenity!
Wade's Garden Inn is the perfect place to find comfort and beauty in and out of the home. This is the place for a perfect vacation located relatively close to beaches and golf courses if you choose. An early morning walk through the beautiful garden which has a hidden gem at every turn made my day. I found our host to be generous with her hospitality. She truly is a super host.

Great stay and amazing hosts!
We loved our stay at Wade's Garden Inn. The property was just as advertised and our host, Jean-Marie went above and beyond to make our stay so nice. We booked both suites for our group of 3 friends, which was plenty of space to spread out. Jean-Marie made up one of the rooms with two beds instead of one king bed and then we had a queen bed in the other bedroom. Since it's technically two suites in one, we even had two kitchens, which was a nice bonus. The air conditioning units in each room worked super well, so we were nice and comfortable indoors during the hot summer weather of Bermuda. Jean-Marie was so responsive leading up to and during our trip. She answered all my questions, picked up our grocery order for us prior to arrival, and arranged a Taxi to pick us up at the airport. She was a pleasure to chat with while we were there as well, giving us great advice and tips for things to see and do around the island. We had such a nice time at her place and if we go back to Bermuda, we would love to stay there again!

Extremely happy with our stay at Wade’s Garden Inn! The host, Jean-Marie, was exceptional. She reached out before our arrival and arranged to have a taxi pick us up and also picking up our online order for the nearby grocery store! This was so helpful to our family given we have young kids. When we arrived she presented us with a local favorite drink, a dark n’ stormy. She was super helpful with getting around - gave us a quick but thorough introduction to the bus system - and even more helpfully had bus tokens and tickets available for purchase. Walked us through how to get to Horseshoe Bay Beach (20 minute walk or $9 cab ride…with little ones we used the latter). She has storage bin filled with beach toys and snorkeling gear that kept the kids occupied at the beach. Also walked us through local necessities - the nearby grocery store and restaurants (Wok Express is across the street and is great! More than Chinese food and a great resource for beer/liquor). As per the pictures, the actual unit is huge and well appointed. A big space for the little ones to run around. When we weren’t at the beach or site seeing there’s plenty of TVs and a huge backyard with a beautiful garden. There’s also a patio space which has a grill (which we used). It was so handy to have a kitchen for our picky eaters. We will be back!

Bermuda Getaway
Wade's Inn was a perfect fit for us. This was our third trip to Bermuda and while we started this one with no scooter or Twizy the first two days we had no problem with nearby bus service and walking to Horseshoe Bay (after Covid Cleared). It has always been my experience that the Bermuda people are some of the friendliest you will run across and this was no exception. Our Host and Hostess were friendly and discreet. They made themselves available for questions in person as well as via text and email. In fact, Jean-Marie helped arrange our groceries to be delivered before we arrived! We had concerns about travelling due to Covid and the Bermuda government had strict protocols that had to be followed. We thought that the testing that was required at the airport after landing would be a long drawn out process and it turned out to be one of the most efficient (almost enjoyable) operations I have experienced. In short, Wade's Inn was perfect for us. My wife and I had one suite and her sister had the other one and each had its own bathroom and kitchenette and shared a common room. We hope to return to Bermuda and hope that Wade's Inn will be available when we return! Thank you Jean-Marie and Russell!!

Wonderful vacation at Wade's Garden Inn!
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Wade's Garden Inn. The accommodations were perfect for us; my wife and myself in one apartment, and cousin in the other. Each with our own bedroom, bath and kitchenette. We shared a common lounge area with TV, perfect for relaxing and reflecting on the days activities, and discussing the next days plans. Each apartment had it's own private entrance. The accommodations were immaculate and well appointed with everything you need, including beach chairs and towels! The outdoor areas were beautiful as well, and even included a gas grill to enjoy your evening meal on the terrace. Our hosts were extremely gracious and accommodating, giving us suggestions and helpful advice when needed. We were within walking distance to several beaches, including Horseshoe Bay Beach, and also to the local Marketplace, the Railway Trail Path and the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. We also enjoyed a walking food tour of Hamilton, and visited the Royal Naval Dockyard area. We are already looking forward to a return trip!
