"The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work.
Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival.
The accommodation is in an adjacent building to the bar/pub. The...

"Everything about the stay, the room, staff, cleanliness were excellent. The evening meal was also very good and well priced. They only small remark is lack of options for the evening meal, however as noted we really enjoyed what we had. The thing that was not up to scratch I am sorry to say was the full English cooked breakfast. Not very generous. Sausage and beans cold, had to send back. When returned they were hit but the rest had gone cold. The sausage was vile. Genuinely Sorry to report...

"One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks."

"Very clean room and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Shower is a bit of a dribble and you need to bring your own soap or shower gel. No breakfast but there's options just around the corner. A great pub with lots of beers on offer from their own brewery. I'd happily go back."

"I reported my room wouldn't lock. The manager came but was unable to sort the matter. I wasn't offered another room as they were fully booked nor was I offered compensation! I slept with the waste bin at an angle so I would hear an intrusion. As a single lady traveller, I won't be going back!"

"Our room was excellent. Spacious, large ensuite. Breakfast was great, really nice. The car parking can't be reserved, it's a working pub. We did okay though on an August weekend. We really liked the whole village, explore it."
