Sweet Stay at Grandmas Peace
We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. We hauled a vehicle for the cruise in and had plenty of room for the truck and trailer. Our ONLY negative was that the carpet was a bit worn in places, but the place was so clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice cabin
It was a nice cabin overall. The carpet was torn in some places as well as worn and well used, and some other cosmetic issues, but it did not detract from my enjoying myself in the peace and quiet. I did sit outside for some time and took it easy on the wooden bench, it was nice watching the wildlife.

Kentucky stay
Easy to get to town. Was disappointed in the paranormal museum. Was more like a big foot museum. Cute old downtown area. Beautiful area for summertime with lots of trees and trails not as much to do in the spring. Overall a nice relaxing place to stay.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy the museum. There are actually 2, one in Nancy, and one downtown. Did you go throw axes at Jack's Axes? I agree, there isn't a lot to do in rough weather in the area, but if you come back in the summertime, let me know. I can point you to all sorts of events.

Cozy Cabin
Such a great little cozy cabin. It has all the necessities needed for a comfortable stay without all the high end items (especially with younger kiddos). This is the second time we have stayed and would love to come back again.

Funky spot
Like living in Kentucky farmland. My rescue border collie and I loved it. Aaron (owner) was very cordial. Neighbor brought me apples, wild turkeys nearby, an occasional chicken visited :)

A Slice of Heaven
LOVE this cabin! Location is PERFECT. Quiet, peaceful, and pet friendly. Owner is pleasant and we learned a lot about Somerset. Wi-if worked wonderfully for the TV streaming. The backyard has a great string of lights to sit out and enjoy the porch or fire pit. Best week ever!

Another very pleasant escape to this cozy cabin
This is the second time we stayed at this warm and welcoming log cabin, and we will definitely return. It is so quiet and peaceful. I always sleep great when I'm here. Aaron is an excellent host and does everything he can to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this gem in the heart of the Lake Cumberland area!

Good for the most part
Great location, quiet. A great selection of kitchen items!! There were only 2 things that could be better. There were no paper towels. That would have been okay if thay were listed as such. The other was the A/C. They are the wall mounted and did not cool the space at all. We did have cool nights and would have opened the windows. However, there are big holes in the screens and I wasn't keen on the bug fest that would have followed.

I noticed the issue with the ac when I was cleaning. I called an tech, and he found a freon leak in one of the units, that has since been fixed. When you left, the living room was showing 64 degrees. I haven't even looked at the screens, and will address that as soon as I can.

A very nice little getaway.
The property is larger than it appears in the photos. We found it very comfortable. The best part was enjoying time together outside on the two porches. There were many birds in the backyard including House and Carolina Wrens among many other birds. I even heard a Baltimore Oriole. I know not everyone enjoys watching birds, but for those who do this is a great spot.

Nice little cabin. A little TLC on this place would be helpful.
Nice little cabin that allows pets which is great. A little TLC on this place would greatly enhance property and could increase rates. Would suggest removing all carpets if remaining pet friendly.

I agree it needs TLC, as I am slowly updating it. Fall of 2022 we updated the porch lighting.. April of 2022 we updated the heating and cooling system. November 2021 we completely remodeled the back bedroom, and in 2019 we remodeled the bathroom. We have big plans, but it is a slow process, as this is a side hustle. I am doing the work myself, as to help keep my rates low. The plan is to redo the entire house to match the bathroom and back bedroom, but it takes time.

I'm sorry to hear that the shower gave you issues. Had this been brought to my attention during your stay, I would of happily addressed it. But alas, it wasn't. I am also sorry that we were not able to accommodate your request to stay an additional night, as there was some scheduled maintenance that needed to be done on that day. However, thank you for the glowing review you left in the house journal, I do appericate it.

I wanted a quiet and comfortable place to rest and recharge and this country cabin was perfect!
I will be returning to this quiet, clean and comfortable cabin again! An incredible bargain to boot. The place is well cared for and I felt right at home. Comfortable bed and the heating system was quiet and worked perfectly. I spent hours enjoying the porch and backyard fire pit. Host Aaron was amazing.

Economical option
The host responds fast and was very nice. Aaron knew that we will arrive late, so he left the porch light on for us - make it much easier to find the place! There was individual AC in each room, so you can easily adjust room temperature. Kitchen was nice, we found everything we needed. We also liked the fire-pit, and we brought our own matches and fire wood. You may feel you’re in the middle of no where if arriving at night, but it’s actually in a neighborhood. There are two storage units in the back yard - both are not well covered. One of the unit has bullet-shall-type of items scattered on the floor. It might be something you want to consider depending on your comfort level. The over all experience was great!

Thank you for saying! I know the one unit in the back yard is in dire need of being removed, it had a tree fall on it last winter, and I haven't had time to remove the building. As for the bullet shell type things, Are you talking about the wooden building, that is locked? How did you get in there? I do keep spent brass casings in there, so unless the building was unlocked, or someone was peeping in the window, how would you of known?

Another pleasant stay
This is the second time I have stayed at the cabin. I love it. It's just far enough out of the city to be very quiet but still close enough to town that a trip to the shopping areas doesn't take long. I will stay there again on my next trip.

Wonderful place to stay!
We loved this cabin! It had everything we needed and was in a wonderful place with beautiful scenery (peaceful setting) This cabin included all of the amenities we needed. The fire pit in the backyard was wonderful. We were also able to hang a hammock. We had family come visit that are local to the area and there was plenty of room to visit and for the kids to play. One room even comes with plenty of toys and games for the kids to enjoy! Aaron was very accommodating for us as well! Thank you so much for allowing us to use your cabin! We were able to make great memories with family we haven't seen in awhile! Cabin is in a great place too.. quiet setting but close enough to town if needed.

Absolutely wonderful!
We came down for a baseball tournament. We wanted to make the most out of our weekend, so we wanted a cabin instead of just a hotel room. We also had our dog with us. This was the perfect cabin for us! It is a dated cabin, but that does not take away from the enjoyment. It has all the amenities you need plus some. It was super clean and the beds were comfy. The host could easily charge more a night with everything that is provided in the cabin. We would have paid about twice as much staying at the hotel with the team! Also, the communication was top notch! The host called me with information on the area, worked with me on booking an extra night and was very accommodating overall. The location is just out of town about 10 minutes so you have easy access to food and groceries but still enjoy peace and quiet and pretty country side views. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, don’t hesitate to book this!

Cute Cabin
Cute, clean cabin close to Somerset. Only one issue (that maybe fixed), make sure you go to the address in Science Hill, not Somerset. Other than that, everything was really nice.

It was a wonderful stay at the cabin I had family weddings two weekends in a row, it was a great place to relax between the weddings. The cabin was clean , comfortable , and quiet. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Somerset

Quiet stay
This place is a great quiet location, but is not far from restaurants, shops, etc. Everything was as expected and in line with the listing. Aaron responded very quickly and clearly to any questions I had. Sorry about our dog chewing on the bathroom door.

So Homey!
Love this place. It’s so comfortable and peaceful. Feels like sitting on a Sunday with your family watching tv kind of comfortable!! Also my husband has had 3 back surgeries and I have had two and one being recent the bed was comfortable!

Loved it!
The cabin was such a perfect getaway. The location is very nice, close enough to restaurants, shopping, etc; yet, very private & quiet. I’ve been using VRBO for over a decade & have had great experiences & met many hosts. I have to say in this case, the host went above & beyond to be so helpful!! He personally made sure our stay was the absolute best it could be - so helpful & friendly. Would love to stay again.

Amazing stay
From the moment we got out of our vehicle we felt at home. Grandma's Peace is exactly what we expected and more. Aaron is great and responds quickly. There is plenty of towels, wash cloths and hand towels too!! We definitely plan to return in the near future...

Peaceful Mind set!
If you’re looking for A Peaceful get away this is IT TRUST ME! We brought 5 kids With us Ranging from 8 months and 13 The Cabin itself was amazing! We meet the Owner when he stopped by while we was Doing A BBQ he brought us some Firewood Over he was a very nice man. The front porch And side porch was My peaceful relaxing Spot All us Adults Stayed out late playing Monopoly the cabin is stocked with almost Anything you could Think of!! Even Bug repellent candles (they Work) we sprayed Off on the doors Playing Games And some glasses of wine Over the sound Of Frogs, Birds, crickets was Just So relaxing We will definitely be Staying here Again if I could give 10 stars I would and I know you would to! BOOK IT NOW♥️

Enjoyed our stay
Very quiet road. Everything about the cabin is as advertised. It was very pleasant to have a cup of coffee on the porch. With plenty of clean towels and linens, full size washer and dryer. A good home away from home. We enjoyed the space while we explored the southern part of Daniel Boone National Forest area (about an hour away).

The Cabin was outstaning, AARON was a pleasant owner and we enjoyed all the recommendations he gave
The overall impression we had was it was a wonderful cabin for me and my family. We felt so at home and comfortable gave us a chance to reconnect and feel the love that made the cottage what it is today. Only comment the air conditioner in the living room seemed not as cool as the bedrooms. No complaint on the bedroom air conditioners they work fantastic. Knowing we came at a very hot time of the month no other problems. Have been recommending this cabin to my friends, family and church member to come to a place that they will fill right at home.

Thank you for the referrals! I'm sorry you had issues with the livingroom ac, but I did notice when I was cleaning after your stay that it was not on cool, or even energy saver mode, it was on dehumidifier mode, which would explain why is did not feel.like it was cooling.
