Situated in the family-friendly town of Sautee Nacoochee, this fabulous cabin is secluded yet close to all of the action. A small city with a ton of character, you'll also find that nearby Helen is perfect for the outdoorsy type of those who just want to relax amid the North Georgia mountains.

The refreshing natural light will greet you as soon as you enter this home. High ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and a seasonal wood-burning fireplace make the living room feeling inviting and cozy. Sit back and enjoy the flatscreen TV or surf the internet with the free WiFi.

The stunning kitchen is picturesque and functional. Stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, plenty of counterspace, and a convenient island make this space easy to use. The island offers seating for four, as does a nearby table. You can also take your meal outside to take in the fresh mountain air.

With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this home is able to sleep up to four guests. Each bedroom includes a king-size bed with its own private bathroom, one of which boasts a jetted tub, and a flat screen TV. You'll enjoy having a private washer and dryer to keep your clothes fresh.

This home's covered deck is a perfect space in which to relax. With an additional outdoor wood-burning fireplace, lots of seating space, a private hot tub, and views of the natural beauty, it will be one of the best parts of your vacation. And if it gets too chilly, don't forget that you can retreat back inside to play a game of pool!

Helen, though small, will never feel boring. If you're visiting during the fall, check out Oktoberfest, a town-wide celebration with a parade and lots of food and drink. The summer brings tubing on the Chattahoochee, a perfect fun-in-the-sun activity for everyone.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

House needs some upgrades

Biggest thing for me when i go on vacation is geeting good sleep and that was very difficult with the worn out mattress in the master. My wife and i slept in the guest room which was better but it too needs to be updated.The coffee maker needs to be replaced and the dishwasher would not work. Other than that we had a great stay and enjoyed the hot tub and fire every night.

Cute secluded cabin

The cabin is beautiful and secluded which we absolutely loved. Kitchen could be better equipped. If you plan on cooking i suggest you bring a crockpot or a few extra pots. So that didnt matter to us since we spent our days exploring and ate out. This place could use a little more deep cleaning. The bedroom by the door that bed needs majorly replaced. It bows and is so uncomfortable. Again we managed to survive the nights sleeping. The driveway is steep but it is very manageable. We would stay again for the beds were replaced.

Very quaint.

Overall, the stay was nice. The beds were not preferably comfy and the pool table can use some fixing. But overall, the property was a vibe. It was big and spacious which was a plus for me. Definitely recommend.

Great Cabin

Everything was great. It is time for a deep cleaning around the baseboards and door frames etc. You can tell it gets mopped but just in easy access areas. Although this did not effect my stay, just letting management know.We did not have hot water the first night. We called management first thing the next morning. They jumped right on it. We had reset the breaker and had not tried it since then. Got off the phone and found we had hot water. Called them back and canceled the repair request.Great Stay Everything was Fantastic. Mater bedroom soft mattress, guest room nice firm mattress. Amazing place.We

Very quiet

The property is hard to find because GPS brings you to the next street over & will not take you directly to the property. Luckily I know how to read a map. The house is up a very steep driveway so if your tires are slick, you're not getting a car up there. The height is nice once you're there. We did have a lovely stay but the beds are very stiff & uncomfortable. The bulb in the hot tub is out & also one in the patio ceiling. I had to clean a few spider webs to hang my jacket by the front door. I suggest a coat hanger by the front door. Lovely large windows in the livingroom but no shade options for daytime tv watching. Sweet cabin just needs a little tlc. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay

Stayed here with some high school girlfriends for 5 nights. It was perfect! Warm and comfortable. The beds were great and there was an extra blanket in each closet. We had some rainy days and the hot tub was perfect! Nice big laundry machines and the kitchen was well equipped with coffee maker. Very peaceful location…we even saw deer and bunnies at the house. Do follow the directions from Vacasa and not google and be prepared for a steep driveway (but it is paved and thankfully, flat at the top by the house). Some brighter bulbs in the bedrooms would have been nice and some more large bowls in the kitchen. Other than that it was wonderful. Would stay here again!

Awesome place

The most beautiful place we have ever visited. The property was hard to find. The directions had us on the wrong road. The house was absolutely gorgeous and very clean. If I could ever afford a new house it would be exactly like this one. The interior decor was beautiful. Who ever did it was an expert. There is a huge tree touching the back deck that may need attention before it causes damage to the deck. We absolutely had a wonderful stay and will definitely book again(same house) thanks

Perfect mountain getaway

We loved our time at the cabin! Very spacious and the back patio with the hot tub and fireplace was great! The only problem some may have is the driveway is very steep. I could see that being a problem in inclement weather or for some cars. Other than that no issues. We’d love to book here again if we ever venture back this way again

Other than some cobwebs and old wasp nests the property was nice. The jacuzzi was large but the jets weren’t very strong. The size of the cabin and its options was perfect for uds.

Family Trip

My husband and siblings booked our annual Christmas trip and this cabin was recommended to us by other family that has stayed there. The cabin was beautiful and they location was great! Just a couple of minor things could be improved - we love playing pool and the pool table was functional but definitely has seen better days and it did bow in the middle, the pool balls kept gravitating right back to the middle. The windows in the living room were huge and gorgeous but were very smeary with possible handprints. It definitely stood out with the sun but I understand it being difficult to keep clean. Driving with the trash on our way out to take to the leasing office trash cans was also a minor inconvenience. Would prefer to have garbage cans on property if we have to take it out. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again!

Privacy in a Mountain Paradise

This cabin was perfect! It was close to the shops in Helen and the Onicoi State park with beautiful Anna Ruby Falls. We were able to enjoy being out and even more staying in. We had all we needed and lots of privacy! We will definitely be back!

very nice house but DIRTY and not well maintained: dead fly on window ledges, coffee grinds left in coffee maker, 2 bath towels and 1hand towel for 2 guests, we lost electricity--no batteries in flashlights, no matches or starter for BBQ grill, PEE stains on sheets, all lights bulbs need to be increased--very dim inside, carpets in bedrooms and bathroom filthy. The cleaners should be fired--I will not stay in a Vacasa property again!

Sautee Nacoochee Cabin – Big Disappointment – 7/2023

This is the third version of our commentary because the website will not accept word count of our original summary. Here is an incomplete version of the most critical points. NO mountain views (deceptive advertising), cabin is aged and not well maintained and does not look like the condition represented in pictures. The cabin was not as clean as expected and had not been deep cleaned in a long time. Dirty worn throw rugs with cigarette burns and odors, old worn linens, bedding and comforters did not smell clean and had stains. No soap in master bath, kitchen was not cleaned well. Stovetop was nasty and oven was worse. Back porch was not swept and many spider webs all over, especially near Jacuzzi. Windows were filthy. The pool table is old, stained and poorly maintained. VACASA offered to send a cleaning crew back to address our concerns but we declined after 11 hours of driving. We spent an evening and part of Saturday morning cleaning the best we could. We will be less likely to use or refer VRBO, and we certainly will never stay in another VACASA managed property. We are disappointed this review cannot post in its entirety with the pictures; future tenants have a right to know. Aside from a thorough deep cleaning; this unit needs some maintenance and a freshening up. Lastly, there is construction going on in the immediate area and we got two flat tires on two different days from the construction work. That was a total of $70 and two trips into a Cleveland tire shop.

Poor Management

Upon checking in my daughters quickly changed into their swimsuits ready to hop in the hot tub out back. They were immediately disappointed to see there was no water in the hot tub. My husband and I tried to fill it will the water from the hose next to the hot tub only to see it running straight out. I spent the first 3 hours after checking in on the phone trying to resolve the problem and speak with local management. During those 3 hours we also realized that the cabin wasn’t cooling down and had only increased in temperature since arriving. We turned the air to cool and 70 degrees and it climbed to 82 by night time. I spoke to local property management 2 times by the end of my 3 hours once being when I called back to get an update. When I finally talked to local management they knew in advance that the hot tub was not holding water but didn’t inform us or try to get it fixed before we arrived. They did send someone out the next day to repair the hot tub but it didn’t warm up enough to use it. The air was never fixed and after spending our day in Helen we returned to the cabin being a steamy 89 degrees inside and the hot tub 64. No one ever apologized or offer any refund or to move us to another available property. I am very disappointed with our stay as a whole and can only say that it was clean and we liked the location of the cabin.

House number

Need a much better sign with the house number. Over all was a very nice place to stay. Wi-Fi service was not good at all. So bring something with you to do at night. If you need to disconnect this is the place to be!!

Very disappointed. Drove from Tampa and could not stay due to filthy cabin. The cabin needs new beds, jacuzzi had no chemicals and was disgusting. There were dirty dishes in the Cubbard. The tub had a ring of dirt and oil. Never again!!!!! When I asked for refund I was refunded unused days when under the circumstances should have a full refund. My vacation was ruined!

Great location

Conveniently located next to Helen. Very quiet location. The cabin was a cute quaint little place and I would rent again. We had issues with the AC unit; however, after contacting the property manager they provided compensation for the inconvenience. As many reviews mention before the driveway was very steep. Highly recommend!

Potentially perfect

A few things wrong from the listing… hot tub didn’t work properly, jets were not blowing and the lights wouldn’t come on. The stove had a knob that wouldn’t work so you couldn’t use the corresponding burner. The pool table was warped and all the balls rolled to the middle. The whole cabin could use a good scrub… lots of dog hair embedded in the carpets/furniture and all the bathroom rugs needed to be vaccumed! The DVD player also didn’t work properly so do not plan on watching movies. Other than that, the cabin was in a great location and we really really enjoyed the outside fireplace! Bedrooms are a great size and the closets have lots of room for your things. Bathroom jacuzzi tub is amazing! Very quiet and relaxing if you can overlook the other stuff. With a little better custodial care this place would be an absolute gem!!

Relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay! No complaints! It was peaceful and relaxing! Pictures are accurate. One of the knobs on the grill didn’t work but we were still able to use it. Our overall experience was amazing and we will definitely be back!
