Spacious Downtown 2+ BD Walk to Beach & Boardwalk!
In the heart of historical downtown Santa Cruz, our comfy 2 bedroom family friendly flat is only a few minute stroll to the beach, the Boardwalk, many restaurants, bars, and cafes! It's the perfect destination for an escape to paradise -- come see for yourself!
The space
This spacious 2 bedroom flat will be accommodating for any occasion! Located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, the Cedar Street Vacation Home is a craftsman style house that was built in 1914 and holds a vivacious yet peaceful energy throughout. Don't let it's old age shock you- the house has been remodeled to present-day standards and doesn't show it's wrinkles!
-two queen bedrooms and one pull-out couch in the living room
- basic kitchenette (excludes oven and dishwasher) includes: hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker (complimentary filters and coffee usually from Trader Joe's or Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Co.) pantry essentials
-dining room table with 6 chairs
-washer & dryer with laundry detergent
-spacious living room with Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, etc.
-large bathroom
-skylights to stargaze in your room
-body wash, shampoo, & conditioner
-extra-large closet space (big enough to fit twin beds!)
-extra pillows, blankets, sheets, & towels
-books & games
- 1 guest pass for street permit parking
This space is not ideal if you are planning to be doing a lot of cooking. It's close to the Bagelry and other cafes and restaurants. The kitchenette is good for making a salad or sandwich but not suitable for meal preparation.
There is a flight of stairs to reach the unit
Also to note: My parents are local artists and several of their pieces are on display in the house. Some of these pieces are available for purchase. Price list is available upon request.
Guest access
You have access to the upstairs portion of the house only. There is a flight of 16 steps upstairs. The upstairs and downstairs are completely separate and private from each other, as the house is a duplex. You will get 1 parking pass for street permit parking.
PLEASE NOTE: Our neighborhood is family oriented- this is NOT a party house! Please be respectful of those that may be staying below you and neighbors and be quiet after 10PM. If you plan to have a celebration with many guests, please consider renting our entire house. See below for details.

The house is separated into two different units, an upstairs and a downstairs. They are completely private from each other, with two separate entrances on either side of the house, and a door that connects to the farthest bedroom that connects the two units that will remain locked at all times. There is a chance that there may be other guests in the downstairs unit, or none at all. People staying downstairs cannot open the door to the upstairs. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we would love to address any concerns that you may have.
The house is equipped with basic spices, oils, salt/pepper, etc. in the kitchen. We have lots of extra towels, blankets and pillows.
We strive to make staying with us a unique and memorable experience, and for you to want to continue staying with us in the future. We are always open to general comments, suggestions, or concerns. We can't wait to hear from you soon!
