The PlaceInvaders Roadhouse is an Old West relic built in 1882, updated and furnished with the sensibilities of the modern wine traveler in mind. We're centrally located in the Santa Ynez Valley, near some of the greatest vineyards in the area, and at the base of some twisty-turny biking roads that reward with amazing views. We've thought of everything to make your stay effortless, comfortable, and memorable. With three bedrooms, including an en suite master and two guest rooms with a shared bath upstairs, the comfiest couch ever, and cots/air beds we can accommodate 10 guests. Please reserve for the number of guests you plan to have stay at our home, guests of any age above 6 will incur an additional charge. Three TVs with all the channels, lightning-fast internet, and a well-equipped kitchen keep our rustic farmhouse from being We're also smack in the middle of the charming western town of Los Alamos, within a stone's throw of nationally acclaimed restaurants, charming wine tasting rooms, fun antique shops, and a growing, vibrant community. Los Alamos is a foodie town, and our rental has everything you might need (spices, oils, condiments) for a weekend to eat and create delicious meals. Anything perishable in our fridge is yours to use. Any condiments/spices/oils are yours to use as well, but if anything runs out, please kindly replace it. We ask you to please refrain from partaking in our alcohol, aside from the complimentary bottle of local wine that will be placed on the dining room table in anticipation of your arrival. This property is a legal and licensed vacation rental, paying Santa Barbara tax and residing in a commercial/residential area. In addition to overnight stays, our space is available for small events. Your rental reserves use of the three-bedroom house and yard for your quiet enjoyment. Please note that there are two other structures on the property (a work shed and a water tower) that are not included in your rental. General House Rules - Please be nice, tidy, communicative, and considerate - If there's anything you need to make your stay more comfortable, or if anything is out of order, please tell us ASAP - We ask that all noise outside end at 10PM; after 10, you may still use the speaker and congregate in the Spirit Sanctuary - There is a penalty of $100 per hour of outdoor noise after 10 PM - The fireplace and fire pit are available for use during your stay, but we kindly ask you to refrain from using the dining room woodstove; we ask that all fires in the fire pit end at 10 PM. - No pets allowed, excepting service dogs Parties, Events, Extra Guests - Our house may be suitable for your event; please inquire about the kind of event you're planning and we may be able to accommodate; pricing may be adjusted depending on event requirements - Guests in number above 6 will carry an extra charge of $100 per night for the duration of your stay, no matter how many nights that guest will stay at the property. If notified with at least one week of advance notice, we will be flexible on this. - The only guests allowed on the property are registered guests in the amount for which the property is reserved - 1-4 temporary (non-overnight) visitors to the property are allowed with prior authorization. Any number above 4 visitors or any visitors not authorized in advance will require commensurate payment (not more than $100 per visitor). Please email us via the VRBO platform to discuss. As an example: if you would like to have 3-4 people over for drinks at the property before going out to dinner or a wedding, that is totally fine! If you say that you have 4 friends staying at another hotel/rental in town and you want to have them over to enjoy the fire pit after dinner, or that they may pop in and out the entire weekend, that's fine. No problem for us - send us a message and we'll approve that right away. If you want to have 5-10 more people at the property popping in and out or for food and drinks all day or host a get-together where more than 10 people are on the property at any time, that would constitute an additional charge. - We apologize for the strictness and extreme clarity in these rules, but as our little town grows in popularity as a vacation and event destination, we have had a few bad actors host unauthorized large gatherings at our house. As good neighbors, we want to make sure the quiet enjoyment of the property does not conflict with that of our neighbors and businesses nearby nor harm our ability to offer our great space for a reasonable price.
