it was magical. we were very happy. The owner had a map for us on the kitchen table. it was like a treasure hunt. will still here again soon.

Convient and clean

This apartment was very nice and clean, and in a great location. We had a great stay there and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. We had to check out at 10:00 because there were new people coming to stay, but they had a locked secure area where we could leave our bags for the day since our flight didn't leave until evening.

Fantastic time in Old San Juan

We had the most wonderful time at Caleta 64. The property manager, Betsy, was a fantastic host which provided us with great recommendations of restaurants and activities in the area. Our room was a very comfortable Studio with 1 Queen Bed + a Japanese futon on the 2nd floor. The building is full of character while having modern amenities (great AC!!!) , our balcony had a wonderful view of the cobblestone street and a small park. The location is fantastic (close to everything Old San Juan has to offer while been in a quiet street). We greatly enjoyed our 3 days in Old San Juan. Thanks....

Excellent location, charming appartment

We had a great stay at Caleta apartments. Betsy welcomed us - she was super friendly and gave us great suggestions about what to see and great places to eat local food at. The apartment was huge! It was more apartment, less hotel and We enjoyed having all that space and the bedroom was large too. Only thing that we didn't love was that the bathroom has bugs at night, which is probably not too uncommon for the area. It was an excellent location - right by the waterfront, and about 10min walking time to everywhere important - Old San Juan is smaller than it looks. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great location and beautiful apartment

The location was perfect and the owners are very friendly and incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay again if in Old San Juan. The apartment we had (Casablanca) is quirky with a small open air inner courtyard. It's beautiful!

Absolute favorite hotel

I løpet av turen bodde vi på mange high class hoteller, men ut av alle var dette lille (4 leiligheter) hotellet vores favoritt. Det er veldig autentisk og ligger på den mest fantastiske gaten i hele Old San Juan. Verten er utrolig snill og hjelpsom. Vi fikk et rom med eget kjøkken, vaskemaskine osv. Vi blev veldig positivt overrasket. Vil du bo på ekte Old San Juan stil så bør du bo her!

Best find in Old San Juan

This place is simply unbeatable for Old San Juan. We stayed in the Ballajá and loved it. The rooms were huge with lofty ceilings and great air conditioning. The place was spotless, quaint, and fantastic in every way. Its location is perfect--right by the gates to Old San Juan--a great place to embark from to see El Morro/San Cristóbal or even just walk the beautiful streets. There's good food nearby, and there's even a washer and dryer in the unit, which ended up helping us tremendously. The owner was nice and polite and helped us with what we needed. I'd strongly recommend this place without hesitation. A note on Old San Juan to first-time travelers: be ready to fight for parking (there are hardly any free spaces anywhere, and definitely don't park in Doña Feña), but we ultimately got lucky and found a place pretty close-by thanks to the owner's help.

Fabulous location! Nice Apartment!

Old San Juan is a fabulous old Spanish city, and these small, well equipped apartments give you an easy walk to either the historic forts, cathedral and museums, or the streets of this small city filled with great restaurants, music, boutiques, and architecture from the 1500's. If you're looking for a front desk and room service this is not for you, but if you want quiet intimacy, or multiple bedrooms it's great! Above all...great location.

At walking distance to everything

This is the fist time I have stayed in the capital city, San Juan, in forty-five years. Aside the obvious traffic and an unusual amount of cats roaming everywhere, the city still retains the Spanish colonial style characteristics. You can walk in any direction and find pubs, churches, restaurants, historic sites and a groceries mart (to name a few). Caleta 64 offers a center stage to all and more. Parking is limited to city residents but public parking by the marina is just a walking distance from the apartments. In short, bring your walking shoes.

we were on the second floor , nice large apartment we used the bed and washer didn't cook the ceiling are 22 feet tall at which most older build built at that time were and a lot of window

Open air courtyard AMAZING!

Absolutely incredible experience! As a couple (1st time in Puerto Rico), we decided to travel on a whim. We made decisions about where to stay, last minute. Caleta64 was our third& fourth night in Old San Juan, and we are SO happy they were available! Our room was not ready yet, since we had to check out of our previous one early. They were SO accommodating to us and let us leave our bags in the room, while they were cleaning it. We stayed in their Casablanca apartment, which was SO unique and SO fun! First floor apartment with one kind bed and one double futon and 2 bedrooms and a kitchen with washer and dryer too. Amazing little apartment! We could have easily felt at home there, if we had stayed more than 2 nights (next time we will!). Casablanca is at the ground floor, so it has no windows onto the streets. INSTEAD... it had an amazing interior courtyard that is completely open to the sky! Rain came in and went down into the drain, while watering the gorgeous tropical plants in the planters... all while the doors were open to it! We didn't even need AC... it was so cool and comfortable there! It was like camping outside... but with a roof over a comfy bed. So unique and so amazing (I took so many photos that i'll post everywhere I can review them... LOVE!). Totally worth it to stay in the Casablanca apartment in Caleta64. I assume that the other apartments (upstairs and with windows, are also just as amazing! ;) Can't wait to go back!!

We're glad we stayed here

We are very glad we stayed at Caleta 64. The hotel is located in the heart of Old San Juan, surrounded by historic sites and great restaurants. The room was very comfortable and Betsy was friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's nice to have a complete kitchen and washer and dryer. We'd definitely return.

Beautiful Old San Juan Location

Amazing location, beautiful old building, unique rooms. The apt had 20 foot ceilings, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. Very nice stay. Perfect for those who prefer not to stay in cookie-cutter hotel rooms.

Awesome location, beautiful colonial architecture!

Stayed at the Casa Blanca apt. Very large 1st floor unit, nice interior patio, fully equipped kitchen, updated bathrooms, powerful a/c and ceiling fans, huge flat screen TV in living room and a smaller one in the bedroom with many local and international channels, friendly and attentive owner. Best asset is location within walking distance of the best attractions in Old San Juan. Very quiet and beautiful street. Went with my 75 year old mother with mobility problems and the apt. was perfect for her. If you are looking for views, may want to select a higher floor apt.

This is not your standard hotel. But we loved that! It was unique and charming with a fantastic location. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We would stay again.
