Panoramic apartment Il Borgo Antico in the city centre

The apartment Il Borgo Antico is located on the first floor of an historic building from the 14th century. The building is located in one of the main squares of the town, Piazza delle Erbe. The windows of the apartment overlook the square, the Twin Towers and the Cathedral of San Gimignano.
The apartment (75 square meters) has been carefully restored combining its original flavor with modern comforts. It features terracotta roof tiles, big windows with Tuscan shutters and decorative ceilings with wood beams.
The apartment is composed of a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a spacious living room, a well equipped kitchen with electric oven, kettle, coffee maker etc... and a toilet with shower. The apartment is equipped with mosquito nets, heating, TV, washing-machine and free Wi-Fi connection.
The apartment has also a balcony overlooking the Tuscan hills, in common with the apartment La Torretta. It can accommodate up to 4 people. Children under 2 years stay free of charge.
A garage is available if booked in advance.

Muito bom. Ótima localização. Tudo arrumado e limpo.

A Alessandra foi muito atenciosa, carinhosa e excelente anfitriã. O apartamento é muito bem cuidado e agradável. Melhor do que nas fotos. O único problema é que o banheiro é estreito, mas não atrapalhou a estadia. San Gimniano é uma cidade muito bonita e vale a pena se hospedar.

Benedetta was a wonderful host, from the minute we decided where we were staying in San Gimignano to the days before our arrival and throughout our stay. We had a fantastic few days in San Gimignano - the flat is centrally placed, yet is very quiet. It is beautifully furnished and with all the facilities you need for a comfortable home stay. We hope to return to San Gimignano again soon as there are so many places in Tuscany we wish to visit. This apartment is an excellent base, with easy public transport (if you don’t drive). There’s a fantastic supermarket at the bottom of the hill and an open-air market on Thursday (if you don’t want to always eat out). We visited the churches and museums around San Gimignano and thoroughly enjoyed being able to live in such an atmospheric and wonderful Tuscan town. Do visit the Casa and Torre Campatelli exhibition to get an understanding of how the medieval town of San Gimignano came about. Thanks Benedetta - ci vediamo.

Absolutely perfect!

Our trip to San Gimingano was the perfect get away for my family because of this wonderful property. Benadetta met us on arrival and could not have been more pleasant. The property was everything advertised and more. It has the charm and comfort that really made us feel like we lived in San Gimignano. Great Stay in San Gimignano

We just returned from a 10 day stay at this wonderful property. The apartment is located in a prime spot and close to everything in the center of town. Great views of the Tuscan hillsides from the back porch and views of the towers and main plaza from the front windows. Great internet, air conditioning and super kitchen with everything you need including fridge and washing machine. Property is just as advertised. Benedetta is an excellent host, great communicator and will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need!

Wonderful apartment in the middle of the town!

Lovely apartment near everything inside the town walls. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay. We were there 9 nights and felt right at home. Kitchen is perfect for small meals. Washer was great to have. Owner was available for any questions. Would love to come back and stay again!

Great Location...

This apartment is beautiful in the heart of San Gimignano next to the Duomo. Perfect for a couple or family with small children. The host, Benedetta, is extremely knowledgeable of the area and extremely helpful. You will not be disappointed should you choose to stay in this beautiful apartment.

Marvelous Accommodation and Host!

WoW! What a magnificent three days we spent in this beautiful apartment in centre of San Gimignano. Our host Benedetta was so wonderful. She thought of everything and made us feel very welcomed. We could not have imagined a better experience in this medieval town and breathtaking countryside in the middle of Tuscany!

Great property next door to the Piazza del Duomo. Many, many places to eat and shop nearby. The property owner was a lifesaver when my husband developed acute bronchitis. She helped us find a doctor and even made an appointment within a short walking distance. Thanks so much Bernadetta!

Charming!

San Gimignano is delightful and our VRBO couldn’t have been any better. Benedetta was so kind and helpful, the apartment was perfectly located and appointed. And she even helped us maneuver our car into town to unload and then provided a garage close by to store our rental car. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay and would highly recommend the apartment.

Sehr nette Vermieterin , immer erreichbar. Wohnung gut ausgestattet, sehr zentral, im Ortskern von San Gimignano. Leider Wohnzimmer etwas dunkel, im Sommer sicher schön kühl. Auch der kleine Balkon eher schattig.

Heart of San Gimignano

This 2-bedroom apartment is right next to the church in the center of San Gimignano. I loved walking out the door and being near the shops and restaurants. The Friday morning market set up just below our windows. We found it helpful to close the windows and shutters at night to block the early morning street noise. The king-size bed was super comfortable and the rooms had plenty of storage space. Benedetta met us at the parking lot just outside the city wall and led us to our rooms. She explained how to use everything including the washer, gas cooktop, and coffee pot. She gave us suggestions for parking in Florence and mentioned favorite wines and local restaurants. My husband and I enjoyed having extra space in both a large living room and second bedroom. The only difficult part of our stay was the narrow bathroom. It was hard for two adults to be in the small space together. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful return to our first date!!

This trip to San Gimignano was a return to the location of our first date 13 years ago. The apartment was cozy and well appointed with everything you would need. The owner is very helpful and sweet: beware there are two flights of stairs up to the apartment but we needed the exercise and it is well worth the effort. Highly recommend this rental,

Super Unterkunft, perfekte Lage, sympatische Vermieterin

Wir haben das Appartement für 3 Übernachtungen gebucht. Die Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet, super gelegen und bestens ausgestattet. Die Möglichkeit die Garage zu mieten können wir nur empfehlen. Preislich mit 10 Euro proTag auch vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Vermieterin Benedetta steht immer für Fragen bereit und kann einem gute Tipps für einen Restaurantbesuch etc. geben. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren hoffentlich nicht das letzte mal in San Gimignano.

Beautiful balcony vista apartment in the heart of town

The property was a lovely quaint old style Italian apartment with a beautiful shared balcony view to the West. The downside was the water heater/supply, and the use of converters for every European appliance. There is really only enough instant hot water for 2 very quick showers per a 2 hour time period. The location and convenience was excellent. Benedetta speaks English excellently and is a delight.

Sehr schöne FeWo im Zentrum von San Gimignano, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, Sogar ein kleiner Balkon ist vorhanden. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fabulous location and wonderful host!

We stayed for 2 weeks. The accommodations were wonderful. Beautiful views from the rear and front of apartment. The apartment is located in the center of the town. Lots of shops and wonderful restaurants. Our host was helpful with recommendations and for translating our wish for taxi's to the train station. The train is wonderful. Trips to Florence, Cinque Terre and Venice were easy. The bus is also right outside the walled city. The apartment has a washing machine which was very helpful on our long stay. I hung clothes out on the line which I hadn't done since I was a little girl helping my grandmother! The apartment also has an oven and a 4 burner cooktop if you are so inclined. Would definitely stay there again.
