"I paid over £200 for one night here. The experience was very poor. I chose it because the hotel is centrally located and has a decent pool. At check-in the receptionist was more interested in talking to her friend than in her customer. The room was clean, but very averagely furnished. Ridiculously, if you chose to use the bath, there is no soap or shampoo within reach (see photo). The dispensers are fixed to the inside shower wall, so you’d have to get out of the bath for soap. "The room was very comfortable and clean. The corridors could have been cleaner as there were bottles and other rubbish from guests rooms on the windowsills. In the evening my room was near the back of the hotel and there was a very loud noise which sounded like a washing machine or tumble dryer being on. Fortunately, this noise stopped at around 10pm and then started again in the morning. Breakfast was nice although the staff started to clear away some of the options offered for the buffet...

"Unwashed cup in the room and empty shampoo dispencer. Pool closed for this "spa weakend." Hotel unable to provide a cooked breakfast and reluctant to offer a rebate. Premises dirty and staff surly. Bar service poor and prolonged delays in the dining room in spite of pre-ordered food. Far from the expected standard of a 4star establishment"
