Summary:
Red Route One is a newly built, mega cabin in 2022!!! A luxurious 3000 sq ft, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, grand cabin that sleeps 12 comfortably! VERY centrally located in the Red River Gorge and has lighting fast Wi-Fi, a hot tub, pool table, screened in deck, and side by side friendly with power washer for guests use! The gas fireplace greets winter time guests with an opulence of warmth. This cabin is perfect for large groups, reunions and corporate retreats.

The Space:
Natural light pours into the greatroom from several 6ft x 6ft picture windows showcasing the forest and a distant cliffline view. The spacious kitchen has a 10 ft island, high end stainless steel appliances, a Vitamix for frozen drinks, stove, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and all the necessary utensils/cookware/spices. A massive dining table comfortably seats 8 while the kitchen island seats 4.

The master bedroom has a luxury King-sized memory foam bed. Large windows allow the lucky guests to sleep in the forest canopy with views on two sides of the room. This bedroom includes its own en-suite full bath with walk-in shower and double vanity. Off the hallway is another large half bathroom.

Downstairs youā€™ll find three bedrooms with queen beds and the 4th bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds (sleeps 4). The second level entertainment area has a full bar, wine fridge, plush couch, high-top seating, forested views and a professionally installed and leveled Olhausen pool table. The glass sliding doors open up to the lower deck and large hot tub. A large outdoor firepit is located next to the cabin with log seating for 6 and room for more.

500 sq ft of screened-in upper deck keeps the bugs away and is surrounded by a scenic forest canopy. The deck boasts a large Restoration Hardware couch, a full size Crate and Barrel teak dining table, a brand new gas grill and two cooling ceiling fans.
Enjoy the convenience of our new power washer for side by sides, allowing guests to easily clean up after outdoor adventures. With ample parking available, your stay promises both comfort and accessibility, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests!

Red Route One has central heat and air, a large washer & dryer, Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, and board games for adults and children. Parking available for 4-5 cars. An adjoining property will have a second luxury cabin finished late 2023 that may be available to rent for additional guests.

The Neighborhood:
Scenic Heights is a newly developed area with other popular cabins, but Red Route One stands alone amongst the trees, resulting in more privacy than the others.

Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.

Pets are not allowed at this cabin. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) not provided. Firewood is not provided.
This cabin is located down a well maintained gravel road. A low clearance 2wd vehicle will not have any issue approaching this cabin.
This cabin utilizes a well for water. This water is filtered and safe for all uses, but guests are welcome to bring water for drinking for their convenience.
There is an exterior camera facing the outside/parking area of this cabin.

Red Route One Cabin

A very nice cabin, with beautiful trees surrounding back side. Plenty of room overall. Parking easily accommodated our group. Decor was tasteful. Easy to find the property. Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Only drawback was fire ring area small and a bit steep for the chairs. Otherwise a perfect stay!

We had 4 couples meet at the property for New Yearā€™s Eve celebration for 4 nights. We were very pleased with the property. It was bright, roomy, and clean. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and a large main table for meals and game playing. Conveniently located in a very safe neighborhood of cabins. A few things to note that would make the property even better. The bedroom doors in the basement are sliding barn doors. The last room (past tv) in basement had issue with door. It would not stay closed. It would slide open as soon as it was closed. One of our couples couldnā€™t make it so we did not use the room due to the door. Nor did we bother to report to property. A desk and sturdy chair for those traveling and working remote would be a great addition to house. The bedrooms all need at least one chair. House had rickety furniture throughout. Table and chairs in basement, shelves in bunk room, and benches at main dining table. All needed to be tightened. There's no cable service. Be ready to use yoir streaming services if you want to watch any live sporting events. We would definitely book again. The things i mentioned were minor and could only improve property overall.

The house and location is nice but there were several things you can do to improve. I texted the number provided in the binder to call or text if any issues on Monday. On Thursday, I called and left a message. I received a call back from another number stating the number I texted and called is not the correct number!?! curious how they knew to call me back if that wasn't the right number. The drains in the kitchen and one of the downstairs bathrooms drained very, very slow. The hot tub was filthy and no instructions on how to start the gas fireplace. The housekeeper came on Friday (we left next day) and cleaned the hot tub and also helped figure out the fireplace (had to take the logs and stones out to find the pilot and it seems it wasn't properly set up). The housekeeper was helpful.

We had a great time hanging out in the cabin, exploring the area and hiking. The cabin was clean and well stocked with whatever we needed. We used the pool table, hot tub, TVā€™s and the fire pit. Our family of 12 all had a great get away!

Like the title says, we checked out this morning, and have already discussed booking Red Route 1 again for next year! Hoping the fireplace and garbage disposal issues are a distant memory by then! VERY minor inconveniences in an overwhelmingly wonderful experience! Lovely, well-equipped cabin.

modern cabin close to hiking

We had a great girls weekend away at this cabin. It was very clean and had plenty of space. The kitchen is large and organized. The hot tub was nice and having a screened porch on one of the balconies is great. There were bath towels provided. We did the natural rock bridge original trail which was only a 9 minute drive away.

Great experience!

The cabin was very clean and looked exactly like the photos! Communication was very quick and the check-in process was pretty easy! There are neighboring cabins fairly close though, so keep that in mind if you are booking for a ā€œlouderā€ group. Overall good experience!

Wedding Weekend!

We booked this cabin way in advance for my wedding weekend. We definitely loved the place. It's clean, and there's plenty of room for everybody. The place is huge and accomodated us all - 13 in total with a toddler (we packed a Pack 'n Play). My daughter enjoyed the hot tub. The open area made us able to connect like some of us are busy in the kitchen, some are watching TV and some playing on the dining table. Hope we could've stayed longer.

RRG at itā€™s best!

This house was great! With itā€™s open floor plan it accommodated our family of eleven with plenty of room. The location was perfect. Close to the Natural Bridge, Gorge Underground and Red River Gorge Zipline. I would highly recommended Red Route One.

Great Family Gathering Place

Three generations of our family gathered and stayed at this property. It was perfect with 4 bedrooms downstairs and the master bedroom ensuite on the main floor. The main floor was perfect for gathering the whole family for meals with a spacious island and chairs along with a large table with benches and chairs. Also comfortable couches and chairs for relaxing. The hot tub was great as well as having a bar, beverage fridge and pool table downstairs. It was also nice to have a washer and drier. The kitchen was fully stocked as we made many meals together. This cabin was in a quiet location and very safe. This cabin was really awesome not to mention clean and new. We have stayed in this area previously and this cabin lived up to its description and beyond.

Spring Break Fun

We loved our stay at this cabin! Great location, very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals! The beds were comfortable too. The only thing missing were curtains and closet/drawers to put our clothes in. We made use of the hot tub, pool table and had fun with the games. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room! We would definitely stay here again!
