The Space:

Beachside Getaway is spacious, filled with light, and offers guests the ultimate lodging experience with incredible amenities, exquisite decor and furnishings, and an unbeatable location mere steps from the beach. Even better is the fact watersports gear and eight beach chairs are available to enhance your sandy excursions.



This unique beach retreat also offers guests direct beach access from the main deck. Nedonna Lake is within walking distance and is perfect for fly fishing, so anglers better be ready! Some fish that you can find here are smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brook trout, and perch. Downtown Rockaway Beach is two and a half miles south where you will find just about everything you may need, including great restaurants, a market, and some souvenir shops. If you want to drive into a larger town, take a 17-mile drive down the highway to Tillamook, which has an amazing and famous cheese factory, a variety of restaurants, and plenty of stores. Manzanita and Cannon Beach are a short drive north, offering incredible shops and terrific restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts will love visiting Cape Meares State Park, which is almost 32 miles away and offers scenic hiking areas, jaw-dropping viewpoints, and a historic lighthouse.



Inside, the open floor plan effortlessly combines the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Start your days with a mouth-watering breakfast prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore the beach and find treasures hidden in the sand. The house was beautiful and had a great view. I will definitely come back again. My only wish is that there were screens on the windows and back door. We couldn't keep the back door open because we had a dog and there wasn't a screen door. A few flies came into the house because the windows didn't have screens. Our stay was amazing besides that.

The house was great, the kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean, lots of extras (beach chairs, grill, etc). The only thing we wish the house had was more windows that opened. It got pretty hot in the afternoon sun.

Beds were not very comfortable. Carpets stained and didn’t smell very good. kitchen table needs resealed. Very sticky. We cleaned it didn’t make a difference. Location and beach were great. Nice house. Needs some maintenance.

We paid nearly 1,000/night for a beachside rental, but upkeep was well below expectations. The home arrived dirty: window seals with dead bugs, sticky table, dust and cobwebs, and stained carpets and counters. Safety issues included broken tiles on the fireplace hearth and peeling molding in the hall bath; mildew on the master bath curtain; dingy towels; ripped/stained curtains; and chipped paint.The kitchen was under-equipped: a coffee pot but no coffee or filters, and only two dishwasher detergent packs for a 3-night stay. No window screens or AC meant bugs indoors. BBQ was unsafe (as someone had previously used a wire brush); there were broken deck chairs; the promised baby gate was broken. Dune grass nearly blocked the path to the beach. Dishes chipped; some windows wouldn’t open or close. Mattresses and covers were stained; one bed looked like it had blood or feces; hair under sheets. Beds were worn; downstairs sink didn’t drain well.Communication with Vacasa was inconsistent, different reps each time I contacted them provided no continuity. A pet fee was charged without prior confirmation. No guest book or local activity info. The location is great, but issues outweighed the positives. I cannot recommend this property or Vacasa based on this stay.Avoid Vacasa like the plague. It’s sad to see VRBO provide a platform for such terrible companies.

Comfortable beach week

Great Relaxing Stay

We were here for the beach and this place delivers. Great view of the ocean from the house. Previous high tides have left the short path to the beach a steep, but manageable trail. You can also walk a few houses down to an access - but we didn't use that.This property offered great space for our group of 8. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Everything we needed and more in the kitchen. We were provided enough kitchen soaps to last our 3 night stay. There were many puzzles and games available in the house. For those that care, there was only 1 tv in the main living room, but we only used it one evening to entertain the child in the group.Our only disappointment was that upon arrival, 2 of the plastic outdoor chairs were broken beyond use. There was great response from the management company when I notified them and I had the impression that the issue would be resolved the next day. We did not receive any additional responses, so did not have enough outdoor furniture for everyone. A 3rd chair (which was already cracked) broke on our last full day.

On the beach

Beautiful home on the beach. Pictures don’t show the new furniture or the really large dining area. Old photos, I think. Comfortable and clean. Basic kitchen supplies are needed. We bought salt, sugar, tin foil, coffee, and other basics. Kitchen has good dishes, etc., but we had to get groceries immediately. Nice wood fireplace. The contractor next door was nice enough to give us untreated lumber scraps from construction. There are 15 steps to get to the main level of the house just fyi. We have been going to the Oregon coast for many tears and this is the first home we want to come back to. High praise

Son's 18th birthday

This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We were celebrating my son's 18th birthday, so it was perfect that there was seperate space for him and his friends downstairs away from family upstairs. The views and closeness to the ocean were fantastic and every room of the house hase some kind of books or game's. The only thing i would say was a negative, only because we had gamer boys, was that there is only 1 small tv in the house.

Thanksgiving Getaway

The location of this place is heavenly! The view from the house/deck is breathtaking. From previous reviews and descriptions, there used to be a path directly to the beach. However, that path has been washed away with recent storms, so it's a good 8-10 ft drop off the bluff now. There is another public path 1/2 a block up the road though, so not a big deal. We took chairs out and sat on the bluff for sunset - which was amazing every day we were there. Upon arrival, the house looked clean - the kitchen and bathrooms were all surface clean and well stocked. After settling in, however, it became evident that the place could use a deep cleaning. There are lots of spider & cob webs around the light fixtures, under/behind the TV stand, in the rafters, etc. The carpets have a lot of stains, although the house did not smell bad at all. (Assuming some of those stains are pet stains, being a pet friendly place.) We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. I hauled a lot of unnecessary utensils/bowls/pans to be sure I had everything I needed, but never had to use my own because they had it all. Good to know for future visits! Overall, this place is perfect for a large group or family. (8 people max). Lots of room to spread out, play games, relax, etc. The window seats in the living room are great! I loved sitting in the sun coming through the windows after a chilly walk on the beach in the mornings. We will be back!

Love this house!

We rented this house before years ago multiple times and it never disappoints. Plenty of space for my family and now the dogs as well! Thank you for allowing our canine kids. The view is awesome and the short walk to the beach is so convenient. We will be coming back soon!

Good Location - Some attention needed

We started our trip by being notified that the house would not be available on time due to staffing issues. They offered a hundred dollar credit. I replied I felt this was not much compensation when we would have to eat out and not have any free time before retiring for the night. We started our travel late to accomodate the late checkin and were later notified the house was available on time for check-in. This was frustrating as we would not arrive in time. The house was clean and in a very good location with easy access to the beach. The house and property, however, need some attention. The carpets have some staining, the kitchen faucet leaks all the time, the sliding door to the deck is hard to open and close, the main floor bathroom shower door will not stay closed, to coffee maker leaks water, the dining table top is always sticky due to the varnish breaking down and there is tack weed all over the front and side yard which makes its hard on dogs and bare feet.

Book club on the ocean

Gorgeous location right on the beach. The great room of the house itself with its fireplace is truly impressive. The amenities in the house are lovely, and the deck has a stunning view. Do not plan on a hot tub as it says it is closed until further notice. We had even asked a few days before our departure and they said yes it was there and operational. It is not. A couple of things for the facilities manager to look into RS follows. The kitchen sink drips, the main floor bathroom, shower door does not close all the way, Plates and bowls have chips in them as we found that when we got there. Some outlets and lights do not work. Several of the patio chairs are broken. You need to buy your own firewood. We left behind what we purchased in town. All in all a beautiful experience .

Great place away from people!

Property was clean easy to check into and exactly as described in listing. The view was great and close to beach. The house was spacious and perfect for a large family or a few small family’s sharing with plenty of parking space. Our only negative was the washing machine never worked right and then finally died but the manager was quick to respond when told about the problem. One recommendation would be to have a gas insert installed in the fireplace but by no means is it a deal breaker. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful View, Quiet

Beautiful View right on the beach. Quiet. Lots of stairs so be prepared to go up and down. Pretty clean, needs a bit of maintenance (lights/outlets not working) but overall nice. Need screens on the windows. Enjoyed our time there.
