The Space:

Elbows Inn is one of the oldest historic homes in Rockaway, OR. It has a great ocean view to enjoy the tremendous energy of the ocean and witness the splendor of the Pacific. It features a rustic feel and a beautiful interior ready for visitors. You'll love this house and come back often. You'll find everything you need here. Elbow's Inn was built for the guests who appreciate a no-frills, classic beach cabin. Walk across the quiet street right onto the beach.



The main bedroom features ocean views. Downstairs is an open main floor with a well-appointed kitchen, dining area, living room, large windows, and deck. You'll find plenty of room for family and friends.



This home brings with it a bit of the past and gives you a feel for the early days when visitors came by train from Portland to the beach.



THINGS TO KNOW

There is no air-conditioning available.

The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher

This home has no ground-floor bedrooms.

The stairs may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

This home will have a seasonal gas grill that is generally available from May through September, depending on inclement weather.

Parking is in the lot across the road from the house.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. There were ants in the kitchen and the cupboards were not clean. The stairs are at a steep incline and we're not easy to climb. But the view was beautiful.

This proved to be an excellent spot for our annual family beach vacation! Quiet beach and good kitchen facilities. We made some tasty dishes, and the proximity to the other towns allowed us to have since fun day trips and sample the delectable seafood.

We loved the location since we we doing little trips during the day amazing sunsets the house had everything we needed it’s a little outdated but we aren’t really looking for that but anyone with mobility issues would have a difficult time since there are stairs but the upstairs main bedroom had a lovely little view of the ocean!

Place is pretty run down but has plenty of space for what we were wanting. Cleaning service does a good job for what they have to work with. Was able to have a good comfortable time. On the fence on whether I would stay here again.

Relaxing Vaca

Wonderful coastal cabin located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms and living space were comfortable and had adequate space. Everything was extremely clean and there was no musty smell even though it’s an older cabin. It was a rainy, windy weekend but the huge windows provided great scenery. Beach access is easy with a small path that isn’t steep right across the street. We brought our dog and she thoroughly enjoyed the space. There was easy access to a hose to wash her off and space for her to lay out on the floor. Even with a high wind warning the house stayed very warm and there were no drafts in the windows. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Winter stay

This house has many qualities that make it a great place to stay. Being so near to the beach is a definite plus. It's wonderful to look out of the windows and see the waves crashing on the shore. Also, the area is quiet which creates a very relaxed feeling. For us, the fact that we could have three dogs was the main reason we stayed here. The cleaning crew did a good job of cleaning the cabin, but it really needed a deep cleaning done. The inside of the cabinets were greasy and the containers that held the silverware had dirt in them. We not only washed all of the silverware, but we washed the drawer out as well. One of the diningroom chairs was falling apart which was not noticeable until someone sat on it. When we contacted the office about our issues, they responded in a timely manner and were very courteous. Overall, we had a good time.

Easy Beach Access

This trip was mainly to expose our oldest granddaughter (3) to her first experience with the beach and ocean. It was almost overload for her but we survived. From looking for creatures, running on the beach and flying kites our stay was so much fun.

Mice droppings on kitchen counters and floor. Ugh Had to pack up food everyday and keep in locked
